The X Ambassadors and The Roots will headline a festival this September at Stewart Park… the Cayuga Sound Festival is being curated by the X Ambassadors, a band with Ithaca roots, and produced by Dan Smalls Presents. Acts include Tei Shi, Sammus, Izzy True, and local faves Stone Cold Miracle, and there will also be local food, beer, and wine for sale. Tickets go on sale at 10am Friday the 31st at cayugasoundfestival.com.
Cornell University’s graduate students voted earlier this week on whether to unionize, but the vote is too close to call. Cornell’s grad school dean says there are 81 unresolved ballots, which is larger than the margin between 919 no votes and 856 yes votes. They expect the ballot review will be finished within a month.

The Ithaca Farmers Market returns outdoors to Steamboat Landing this Saturday. Saturday hours are 9am-3pm through October, and Sunday hours run May through November. Upcoming performer highlights at the farmers market include the Yamatai Japanese drumming group on April 15 and the Big Red Marching Band on April 22.
