Knowing what Kaiyeyi has done on his behalf, Bharatha becomes enraged and spurns the Throne.  All the intrigues of Kaikeyi becomes a waste.

 With Rama and Lakshmana gone to forest and the King passing away, the elders send for Bharatha.  Not know why, Bharatha arrives in haste all filled with wordless misgivings.

Recounting what could have led to this sorrowful state, King Dasaratha dies.

King Dasaratha remembers and recounts to Kausalya, a dreadful act he did a long time back when he was young. He is convinced that his sorrows are a result of that.

Kausalya grieves on hearing from Sumantra that the Princes and Vaidehi have entered the forest to start their Vow.

Instructed by Bharadwaja, Raama, Lakshmana and Seeta goes to Chitrakoota and sets up a hut there.

For the first time in their lives, Raama, Lakshmana and Seeta are alone, all by themselves.

Raama, followed by Seeta and Lakshmana leaves Ayodhya to start their forest lives.

Seeta is adamant in coming along with Raama to the forest and gets Raama to agree to her.

Raama gives the message to Queen Mother Kausalya and gets ready to go to the forest. Raama agrees to Lakshmana’s insistence in coming with him to the forest for the duration of the promise.
