It's another video episode from us this time and it sees Stu and Alex reaching for their fabric and velcro wallets (attached to their baggy jeans with a chain of course) and going on a fantasy shopping spree!
They have been given 4 budget categories: <£100, <£1000, <£10,000 and Unlimited, and tasked with searching online to find something from the 90s to buy that fits into each budget.
Tune in to find out what purchase Alex regrets not making in New York in 2004 and is making up for now, and what purchase Stu regrets not making in Birmingham in 1997 and now wants to make up for. Come to think of it, are the lads just taking this as an opportunity to make up for their past retail mistakes?
Also this time: 90s elderly people! Stu's in the quiz hotseat again! Has Stu been sacked? And much, much more...
Please note that this is visual episode containing plenty of visuals for each item purchased, so please watch along!

It's been a while since we've got the garden tools out and dug up Mother's favourite flower bed in order to bury our favourite artifacts from the decade, hasn't it? We think so anyway, so we've asked our good friends Chris and Charlie from the brand new men's mental health podcast, From The Wellbeing Locker Room, to put together their very own 90s time capsule.
Join us as Chris revisits his previous life as one of the great unsung trance DJs of the late 90s, Charlie puts his socks on over his trainers to get into a nightclub, Stu gets nerdy about the goalkeeper kit deals of the decade, and Alex reflects on the strained nature of the relationship between himself and his co-host.
Also this time: Funfax! Stu issues a "come and get me" plea! Alan Joy the window man! And much, much more...
You can listen and subscribe to From The Wellbeing Locker Room here, and we strongly recommend that you do so, because Chris and Charlie are excellent and wise hosts on what is a very important subject for us all.

You may need to watch this episode from behind the sofa as Stu and Alex are discussing the most shocking moments from kids TV in the 90s, with a real focus on Byker Grove, specifically THAT episode.
Join us as Alex makes Stu watch the most infamous episode of UK 90s kids TV, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. Will Stu be scarred for life? Tune in to find out which puppet dog is stronger than Geoff Capes, what Alex's first experience of on-screen death was, and why Stu can never watch a certain Disney film ever again.
Also this time: 90s pharmaceuticals ! 90s exhibition visits! Stu's in the quiz hotseat again! 90s hair dye! And much, much more...
Please note that this is visual episode containing plenty of nostalgic clips, so please watch along! Also, Byker Grove is currently available in full on ITVX.

We're back from our summer training camp refreshed and raring to go, and what better way to get back into the swing of fortnightly podding (and get over the disappointment of the inevitable end of the office World Cup sweepstake) than a look back at the wild world of radio in the 90s?
Join us as five-year-old Stu almost blows up his street with an ill-advised experiment involving a table lamp and some wet toilet paper, we fondly remember the ghetto blasters and stereos that allowed us to tune in to our favourite stations, and Alex once again sides with the establishment when it comes to the UK Top 40. Plus, we revisit some of our all-time favourite radio moments from the decade (yep, it's Pearce on Cantona and the Dundee United wooden bow tie, again).
Also this time: Alex and Stu install your conservatory! More dado rail chat! Very early first gigs! And much, much more...

Next time: Stu watches the infamous paintball episode of Byker Grove for the very first time, as we look at the most shocking moments from children's TV in the 90s!

Alex and Stu are currently on a break at a warm-weather pod training camp on the continent, so in the spirit of the school holidays, here's a repeat for you to listen to. This one is from June 2023 in season 2 and aptly it's on the topic of holidays.
We will be back with new episodes in a few weeks!
Here's the original episode description:
Summer is once again upon us at IBAITN HQ, so before the lads, Geoff and Dr De'Ath lock up the office for their two week break in Torremolinos courtesy of Lunn Poly, this time we're taking a look back at some of our favourite 90s holiday memories. Join us as Alex makes the case for the bucolic British camping holiday, Stu yearns for continental carbonated iced tea, and once again we ask the big questions that other podcasts are afraid to address: for what reason are those roped off fruit machine areas in motorway service stations actually there for? Plus all of your excellent correspondence, including ruminations on holiday camp mascots, fart powder and disintegrating caravans.
Also this time: The 1993/94 Norwich City third shirt! Jim McDonald steals some Sega Saturns! Whitefang! And much, much more...

It's the second part of our episode on the UK top 40 chart from 13th February 1994, with our resident pop expert, and pod legend, Joe Barter.
Tune in to find out which soppy power ballads Alex is being beguiled with this time (much to Stu's chagrin), which song was ruined by election ubiquity and whether or not the songs outside the top 40 are actually better than the top 40 itself.

We're discussing another random UK top 40 chart from the decade this time on the pod, and our random date generator has landed on the 13th February 1994. As per we're enlisting the assistance of resident pop expert, and pod legend, Joe Barter. We went on for so long we decided to split the episode into 2 parts, and this is your first helping.
Tune in to find out which form of TV personality makes for the best music career, what the best was to misspell 'dog' is, and which 90s footballer Stu will forever associate with East 17.
Also this time: the most 90s playground comebacks! A new regime in the Pod office! More dado rail chat! And much, much more...

With the 2026 version now in full swing, what better time to complete our review of the 90s World Cups by looking at the best tournament, not just of the decade, but of all time? (Yes, it's Stu's turn to write the episode description this week)
Join us as, in the usual fashion, we look back on the players, kits and major incidents from France '98, as well as our own personal memories of the tournament. Find out which superstition worked for Stu's mum once and only once, which Brazilian player's international career began and ended in France, and which shirt sale comes to the surface as one of Alex's biggest ever life regrets. Oh, and don't ask us about the office sweepstake...
We also had some invaluable input from Football Jonesy of That 90s Premier League Podcast, which you can find HERE.
Also this time: A huge sponsor! Alex delights in another injury to a 90s icon! The most 90s furnishings! And much, much more...

We're back in the dusty seats of the local flea-pit cinema to talk about the films of 1997 this time on the podcast. There was some serious box office cash spent this year and we cover some of the biggest smashes in cinema history.
We're joined by brother of the pod Adam to pick two films each to talk about, plus we've all watched Spice World for the first time ever! And of course, we'll break down the box-office top 10 and the award winners. Tune in to find out which film Alex only realised was an all-time classic only after a rewatch in his late 30s, which threequel does Stu think is somewhat overlooked and which film was the first 15 certificate film Adam saw in the cinema. And what did we all think of the plot of Spice World?
Also this time: 90s tennis players! 90s exhibition visits! A potential challenger to the role of official diarist of the pod! And much, much more...

Five years, eh?! Who would have thought that a tinpot project that started way back in June 2021 would have come this far. That is to say, a tinpot project which has somehow now produced over a hundred episodes? Join us as we celebrate this significant milestone for the podcast!
In a shocking turn of events, just as we had finished putting up the streamers and balloons, the podcast accidentally broke through to the mainstream through an Instagram reel of us discussing mixtapes and BBC2 idents, generating a high level of (mostly positive) interest from new listeners to the pod (we hope). How will the lads handle their new found fame? More to the point, how will Geoff monetise it? If only he was around somewhere so that he could be asked that question.
Once the party begins in earnest, we swap gifts before taking on an extended quiz, then answer some listener questions in our first ever 'Ask Us Anything' . There's far too much Aston Villa/Norwich City content in the end, but it's our birthday so you'll have to let us off.
Also this time: Hungry Joes! Culture Club redux! Bees in goalmouth redux! And much, much more...
Thank you for all your support over the past five years, we make the show for you and we really do appreciate it. Keep listening, keep in touch and here's to the next five!
