Frank celebrates the 100th edition officially of It's a Frank-ly Hairy Podcast today. Outside of being grateful for this and your listening presence, along with further mention of where he would like the show go in the future, he talks about his new home and some of the many move-in quirks he is now dealing with. There have been several pleasant surprises not evident on showing. On the other hand he wonders why there are so many keys and two different garage door openers. It will take him a while to find (and learn) everything there is to know about the new place, which will include the new podcast studio. He also questions the home inspector profession for being "overkill" just like many other things in our society. Near the end of the show, he reiterates his message that using the Golden Rule, or just being kind as well as making people laugh is quick and cheap. The world would be so much of a better place if we could just do this, and see others as much like ourselves.

With another shorter show this week, Frank tells you why humanity wants and needs to pursue more abstract, non-testable values like truth, beauty, and justice that lead to different ways of thinking and conducting our lives. There's nothing wrong with the research realm, but it can't discover everything we need to know in life. Another involves governments and their various social engineering experiments only to have the government somehow not accommodate citizens in completing those initiatives. After a brief discussion on how government officials weirdly view their budgets instead of efficiency and saving taxpayer money, he talks fondly of Canyon and how it's changed laced with a tinge of lament. Rest assured, humor still abounds.

You'll want to tune in this week for Frank's deep and varied comments such as those on timeless themes in "classic" movies, Indiana winning the CFP, the NFL Playoffs' first two rounds no longer being named correctly, and the madness in Minnesota of late. The last topic, while not discussed politically, gives pause on MLK Day for peaceful protests and a real form of love. Then, and maybe most importantly, Frank discusses how love in all its various forms can be found nearly everywhere every day in small packages. It's not always overt or romantic, but instead depends on our frame of mind, and our thoughts or willingness to look for it. He also talks about humanity as one, big family that is really the same with varied similarity and from a common origin. This should bring us more together and help us experience life the way it was meant to be.

In this first hairy show of the new year, Frank adds to last week's show with a desire to "just be" among other goals for 2026 while encouraging others to do the same. Then, as a result of the gym being crowded the next few weeks, he analyzes current gym culture and behavior and draws conclusions which relate to other societal observations, especially traffic and driving habits. Finally, he shares some of his dreams and initiatives for 2026 which, among other things, describe his desires for this forest and the actual forest.
