Cassandra Treadwell has always had a strong sense of justice. Therefore, after a 20-year legal career, she was well placed to enter the not-for-profit space, co-founding an international aid organisation empowering impoverished children through education. In this special episode of The Lawyers Weekly Show, host Jerome Doraisamy is joined by former lawyer and co-founder and chief executive of So They Can, Ms. Treadwell, to discuss her legal career and how it continues to inform her NFP work, the critical issues being faced and addressed by her organisation in East African countries, and how and why law can be an altruistic vocational path.
