It's a Sign! The Art of Alignment

In episode 38, astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield undertake something very in line with Gemini season - exploring the relationships between siblings! For this episode, it's the Roy siblings of HBO's hit series, Succession! In astrology, we find that commonly actors take on roles that mirror parts of their own chart. So, after watching the series finale, we decided to use the birth charts of Jeremy Strong (aka Kendall Roy), Sarah Snook (aka Siobhan Roy), and Kieran Culkin (aka Roman Roy) to see how these actors were able to create such strong sibling chemistry over the show's four seasons.

First, we look at Jeremy's chart and find heavy Capricorn placements telling us his dedicated and unyielding work ethic shows up both on and off screen. We also find an intense and obsessive Scorpio moon that can get swept up in feeling and with little air in the chart, logic and objectivity might be hard to come by.

Next, we focus in on Sarah's natal chart and find a fairness-focused Libra rising, which makes sense as her character always seems to be trying to balance all sorts of relationships. We also see a fiery Aries Moon and Sagittarius Sun (hello red head!) telling us she's a fighter who can be ruthless about getting her way.

Lastly, we look at Keiran's birth chart and see a strong stellium in Libra, which includes a quick-witted Mercury/Sun conjunction. This is one quippy and intellectual guy, just like Roman! He certainly brings the air to the room, but he also has a highly sensitive Pisces Moon. The responsibilities of fame (and experiencing his character's father's funeral) can be overwhelming!

At the end of the show we look at the synastry charts between these actors/siblings and find uncanny astrological signatures! We found conjunctions, sextiles, and trines all at the exact same degree which is rare! It made us wonder if the casting director had hired astrologers to bring this perfect trio together! In episode 37 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield received a listener submission asking if they could take a look at the relationship of romantic crooner John Legend and his wife, the politically vocal model/cookbook author Chrissy Teigen. The couple first met in 2006 and have been seemingly happily married since 2013 and are the proud parents of three children.

First, we dive into John's natal chart and immediately find strong, hearty, Capricorn energy. His undying determination and high bar of excellence has taken him far in his musical career! Meanwhile, he simultaneously has a strong Pisces theme, which explains his talent for melodic artwork and his ability to bring a dreaminess to the world.

Next, we peek into Chrissy's chart and find a large Sagittarius stellium in the 1st house, including her Sun, which explains her outspoken belief system and reputation for being someone who does not back down and isn't afraid to take up space. We also notice her family-oriented Cancer Moon in the eighth house of deeply intense emotional experiences, reflecting her struggles with conception.

Together their synastry chart makes sense. With Chrissy's Moon sitting directly on John's Descendant, forming an opposition to his Sun, we get a Full Moon between the two that lights up his house of relationships. This tells us there is positive receptivity and that they fully illuminate each other! We also see there is a Saturn and Neptune connection to each of their Suns, so part of their egos do get "checked" by each other - but, with their twin Venus in Scorpio placements, their mutual craving for trust, intimacy and deep merging is shared! In episode 36 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield ring in Gemini season with not one, but TWO Geminis! The coupling between Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman and ballet dancer and choreographer extraordinaire, Benjamin Millepied definitely got our attention. After first meeting on the set of "Black Swan" in 2009, the pair quickly fell in love and were engaged in 2010 - when they also announced they were expecting their first child! In 2012 they were officially married and have been together ever since. Clearly there is something cosmic happening between them! First, we look at Natalie's chart, which displays a Gemini Sun and Virgo Moon, telling us she is an intelligent, analytical, thoughtful, and grounded woman. However, with Neptune making contact to both planets, we find a watered down, perhaps gentler version of the Gemini archetype. Natalie also has very little fixed sign energy in her chart, so her nomadic and transient lifestyle with her husband makes sense. Next, we dive into Benjamin's natal chart and also encounter a Gemini Sun and Virgo energy through his rising sign, sharing that intellectual curiosity with Natalie, as well as telling us he's a fixer and likes to be of service. Along with a grand fire trine, we can see that the physical expression of his body is highly important! His strong Sun/Jupiter conjunction makes his reach across different continents very broad. Together, their Gemini Suns are conjunct, which means communication flies at lightning speed, but there might be some competition of who gets center stage. Additionally, both have Neptune and Sun oppositions so this can be a mutually confusing relationship. On the other hand, there are multitudes of Mercury aspects (a Gemini couple would have it no other way!) making their communication a core fundamental value. In episode 35 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield discuss the rap royalty couple that is Cardi B. and Offset. This couple's first date was at Super Bowl LI in Houston in 2017! They're no strangers to drama and the spotlight, proving many times how deep their love for each other goes - even surviving a cheating scandal! And did you know you can currently order their favorite couples meal at Mcdonald's?!

First looking at Cardi B.'s natal chart we see (and who can debate?) a whole lot of fearless, impulsive, Aries energy! With Aries Rising, Moon, and Mars involved in her grand square, it's no wonder her musical style revolves around "fighting songs." Her commanding and unapologetic persona always takes center stage. Meanwhile with a tight conjunction between Venus and Pluto in Scorpio we can agree that making money off of her confident sexuality is her birthright, but that also can come with a struggle to embrace her vulnerability.

As we take a look at Offset's chart, we find an optimistic and free-spirited Sagittarius stellium, that might have a hard time settling down (hello four different families!). With a Moon in Pisces, we know that he's actually extremely sensitive and prone to escapism. Creating music is however a fantastic avenue for this energy!

Drawing their composite chart we find a pronounced stellium in Scorpio, explaining their intense magnetic attraction towards each other and their desire to be a powerful couple. This also shows us that regeneration is a strong theme for this relationship.

In episode 34 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield take on another Comedian/Actress duo, this time it's between former SNL writer/stand-up comedian John Mulaney and American/German/Vietnamese actress Olivia Munn. Mulaney and Munn got together shortly after Mulaney's time in rehab and after he asked his wife for a divorce in 2021. What brought these two together so quickly? They had actually first met a few years before, but clearly the timing wasn't right!

In episode 33 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield discuss one of our subscribers' couple suggestions -- the relationship between the highest paid actress in Hollywood, Scarlett Johansson and head SNL comedy writer, Colin Jost. This couple first met back in 2005, but didn't connect romantically until 2017 and then married in 2020. Since then the two have welcomed their first child! There must be something powerful between them for this romance to be so strong!

First, looking at Scarlett's natal chart (although we don't have a highly rated birth time), our guess is that she's actually Scorpio rising as opposed to Sagittarius rising as her suggested birth time would indicate. Her allure is just so intense! She does however, have an optimistic, truth-telling Sagittarius Sun and Mercury, but with a not-so-nice Pluto/Mars square. Although she sometimes plays sweet characters, this lady has a bite!

Meanwhile, Colin's natal chart shows a packed stellium in Libra, meaning that relationships carry heavy weight for him and definitely offer him important learning lessons and opportunities for growth. In episode 32 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield discuss the radical coupling between Mexico's greatest artists, painter Frida Kahlo and muralist Diego Rivera. These two were equally talented and while their relationship was deeply passionate it was also very turbulent.

Looking into Frida's chart we find a prideful Leo Rising, telling us she savored and craved the limelight and also had a generous heart, while her watery Neptune/Sun conjunction perfectly described her dream-like artistic style and ability to let her imagination run free. She also had a strong stellium in the sign of Cancer, telling us that family and emotional safety were very important to her.

Meanwhile, Diego's chart shows us a well-traveled and cultured Sun/Venus conjunction in Sagittarius, explaining the big persona he embraced literally and figuratively, while his Mercury/Pluto contact revealed a hyper fixation and focus on his work.

This relationship had a 21-year age gap which reflects square Uranus' in their comparison chart, telling us there was much upheaval, and a distaste for stagnation of any kind!
