This week Brandon and Lorin begin to review the contenders for award season. With the Oscars set for March 2023, critics are making their final notes on which movies could wind up on the ballot for the Academy Awards next year. Elsewhere we discuss two episodes of White Lotus and the other content we streamed over Thanksgiving. 

In this week's episode, Brandon and Lorin pitch their own Hallmark holiday film. They each select a cast, devise the plot, and title their hypothetical TV movie on the family network. They also recap episode three of The White Lotus; Brandon reviews films The Wonder and Where the Crawdads Sing; and, Lorin finally finishes AMC+"s This is Going to Hurt. 

On this week's episode, Brandon and Lorin discuss the future of Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. With the conclusion of Phase 4, where does the MCU stand with fans and what do they hope to see in the future? Elsewhere they chuckle over the latest episode of AMC's Sherman's Showcase and recap "Italian Dream," the second episode of HBO's White Lotus.  

Brandon and Lorin attempt to watch Netflix's "Blonde," the fictionalized biopic of Marylin Monroe from Andrew Dominick, starring Ana de Armas. The chore of exploring Monroe's traumas all at once spurred a larger conversation around biography films about the deceased. We also talk about HBO's second season of White Lotus and recap the third entry of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix. 

Closing out the Halloween season, Brandon and Lorin discuss the Final Girl. The popular horror film trope has changed the way women are viewed in the genre. We talk about the iconic trailblazers and the current new women who are fighting back. We also recap season one of House of the Dragon and give our two cents on Netflix's Cabinet of Curiosities from Guillermo Del Toro. 

Brandon and Lorin compare and contrast two new series adaptations of vampire tales in AMC's Interview With The Vampire and Showtime's Let The Right One In. In the spirit of Halloween, we also discuss the return of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story and Netflix's third volume of Unsolved Mysteries. 

Brandon & Lorin tackle the true crime genre, contemplating the pros and cons of the successful paramount across all mediums. What is the root of our obsession with these stories, and when does that fixation become exploitative? We recap the penultimate episode of "House of the Dragon" and review the long-awaited conclusion to 2018's "Halloween" trilogy, "Halloween Ends." 

This week Brandon and Lorin transition into the spooky season with a recap of Hulu's "Hellraiser" reboot. In conversation, they discuss horror's recent resurgence as of late in film and TV. Elsewhere they discuss that pivotal episode of "House of the Dragon" and give their thoughts on Disney's "Hocus Pocus 2" and Marvel's "Werewolf By Night."

We've arrived at the final quarter of 2022, signaling a recap of the best titles consumed within the last three months before looking ahead to what the year has in store across TV and film. We also discuss the latest in headlines while pondering what has really changed in the industry five years from the onset of the #MeToo movement. 

This week's episode recaps Netflix's annual Tudum: A Global Event. Brandon and Lorin share which of the upcoming titles they're most excited about; from the fourth season of You to Ryan Murphy's next limited series, The Watcher. Later, they discuss the streams of the week which include a wild episode of House of the Dragon as well as the ever-brilliant Reservation Dogs.
