In celebration of MLK Day, your favorite dynamic cousin duo covers last week's Golden Globes. The HFPA's return to the small screen was one of the lowest-rated airings in the award ceremony's history. And in Streams of the Week, both Brandon and Lorin struggle with AMC's Mayfair Witches, the latest series in the networks Immortal Universe inspired by the genre works of Anne Rice.

The third season will conclude the series based on Philip Pullman's novels The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass. This week Brandon and Lorin begin to review the contenders for award season. With the Oscars set for March 2023, critics are making their final notes on which movies could wind up on the ballot for the Academy Awards next year. They also recap episode three of The White Lotus; Brandon reviews films The Wonder and Where the Crawdads Sing; and, Lorin finally finishes AMC+"s This is Going to Hurt.

The chore of exploring Monroe's traumas all at once spurred a larger conversation around biography films about the deceased. We also talk about HBO's second season of White Lotus and recap the third entry of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix.
