We reconvene this second week of March to discuss this past Sunday's Critics' Choice Awards. The ceremony and its winners are one of the final steps before The Academy Awards in April. We also celebrate Women's History Month in our "This Day in History" segment and preview a new series for our long-vacated N.O.T. portion. 

It's a new month as Brandon and Lorin discuss the ever-changing race to April's Oscars They'll recap Sunday's Golden Globes Awards and how those wins may impact next week's Critics Choice Awards. 

Brandon and Lorin experience Chloe Zhao's beautiful film "Nomadland" starring Frances MacDormand and whether it's the best picture of 2020. They also touch on the glory of HBO Max's "It's A Sin," the glaring allegations about the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and ponder when 1999 became old school. 

Lorin & Brandon discuss the Shaka King-directed film Judas and the Black Messiah starring Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield. The Oscar contender details the rise of Black Panther Party Chairman Fred Hampton (Kaluuya), and the man who was tasked with taking him down. We also discuss the cautious tale of The Cecil Hotel and CBS' Clarice. 

We eat baked mac and cheese over here, but it didn't discourage us from watching Sam Levinson's Netflix film, "Malcolm & Marie," starring Zendaya and John David Washington. We also talk Golden Globes, the latest in entertainment news, and the very peculiar case surrounding the documentary "Framing Britney Spears."

Brandon and Lorin traveled virtually to Park City, Utah for this year's Sundance Film Festival. As first-timers, the scale of the event itself was overwhelming. But after a day or two, they became more acclimated to the way everything worked. The two take turns detailing the films they enjoyed during the seven day festival. 

The boys return like they never left with their review of Regina King's (Ray, American Crime) exceptional One Night in Miami. Based on the play written by Kemp Powers (Soul), the film explores one fictional night among titans. They also recap the latest special episode of HBO's Euphoria and prep for this week's virtual Sundance Film Festival. 

In today's episode, Brandon and Lorin review the Netflix film, "Pieces of a Woman' starring Vanessa Kirby, Shia Labeouf, and Ellen Burstyn. We'll tackle the positives and negatives of Kornel Mundruczo's stirring film and discuss its Oscar chances. Elsewhere we discuss the trailers for two highly-anticipated films as well as a wealth of movie news. 

Happy New Year folks. We're dusting the fecal matter that was 2020 off our shoulders as we record this first episode of 2021. We'll deliver our most-anticipated titles of Q1. Elsewhere we discuss the many peculiar celebrity deaths of late, and how COVID is still affecting the entertainment season to come.
