It's A Streamable Life

Our look at women in television continues our celebration of Women's History Month. During our appreciation of growing up in the 90s, we highlight two new series in N.O.T. and try to decipher the alternate reality that is life amidst COVID-19. 

For the rest of March we'ere celebrating Women's History Month. We highlight female pioneers in film and the many ways in which the industry can improve. We also discuss our favorite women-centric films. We touch on that decisive season (?) finale of #TheOutsiderHBO, and Brandon FINALLY watched #Westworld! Hopefully, we'll start season 3 before The Rona gets us all.

Welcome to March listeners. Lorin & Brandon dive into the penultimate episode nine of #TheOutsiderHBO, and feel their way through the awkward joy of AMC's #DispatchesofElsewhere. We touch on a ton of trailers and finally discuss a brief history of censorship on television. 

We continue our BHM discussion with the current state of Blacks on television, and how much progress has been made with the addition of the streaming era. There's been a definite push, but has it stalled? We also drive through a ton of trailers and the eighth episode of HBO's "The Outsider."

Another dose of The Streamable Life goes a bit long as we discuss the music of the last decade. The trendsetters, biggest artists, forgettable moments and our top songs & albums between 2010 and now. Plus The Outsider recap and how the hell did the Oscars snub a film like The Farewell. 

The 2020 awards season closed with the 92nd Academy Awards telecast Sunday night. Despite the lack of diversity in the nominees, the production wasn't a total bore. We discuss the good, the bad and where the award show goes in the future. We also recap The Outsider and have a field day with this week's Headlines. 

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH. This first episode of February tackles what constitutes a Black film in 2020. What it looks like, who is allowed to tell it and what narratives are involved. We also digest the latest ep of The Outsider and fanboy over the news of Marvel's TV slate coming to Disney this fall.
