  • Twinspiration Episode 2: Raymiro Gomez-Galiano

Today we sit down with Raymiro Gomez-Galiano, founder and CEO of the 501(c)3 organization NewColorsProject, to discuss how he is changing lives in his community.  Raymiro talks about how some of the hardships he faced in his own life inspired him to want to help others, what it was like starting a non-profit while navigating the pandemic and being a first-year student at USC, and how he believes in trying to change one person's world at a time rather than the whole world.  Raymiro and Ashley learn that theater helped them both through speech impediments as children, and Raymiro shares how his sister feel like a twin to him.

In our special Valentine's Day episode, we talk all things love and marriage!  We debate about the idea of twins marrying other twins, Ashley explains why she thinks having a twin has ruined her ability to get married, and Aspen reveals some shocking facts about the genetic relationship between identical twins.  Aspen turns down Ashley's proposal that they should move in and adopt kids together, and we discuss how twin relationships are held to a different standard than other siblings.

  • Twinspiration Episode 1: Lonnie and Michelle Somers

In our first episode of our "Twinspiration" series, we interview the people who inspire us the most: our mom and dad!  Lonnie and Michelle Somers are entrepreneurs and philanthropists who started the Fetal Health Foundation, a non-profit which provides support and awareness for families facing complications during pregnancy, after their own babies (that's us!) were saved from a life-threatening fetal syndrome against all odds.  In this episode, Lonnie and Michelle talk about their experience with a fetal syndrome, how they were inspired to start the foundation, and what keeps them motivated to always put others first.  Michelle praises Lonnie for his ability to connect with people, Lonnie shares that he wouldn't be where he is today without Michelle by his side, and there is an awkward pause where they stop to make out.  They also share the unbelievable story of how they met, and Aspen and Ashley challenge them on if it was truly love at first sight.  Aspen thanks Lonnie for turning her into a workaholic, and Ashley asks her parents what they thought of twins before they had them.

Every other week, we sit down to talk with the people who inspire us in "Twinspiration."  Each episode starts with our "Good News Minute," your daily dose of uplifting news, and ends with our guests sharing their favorite inspirational quotes.  To add a little positivity to your week, be sure to subscribe to It's A Twin Thing!

  • It's A Twin Thing Episode 1: Twins Are Weird

In the first episode of "It's A Twin Thing," we talk about why we think twins are weird.  Ashley thinks that adult twins are creepy, and Aspen ponders what non-twins think about twins.  We share how we both accidentally ended up on a leave of absence at the same time and how the universe won't let us separate from each other, and then tell some of our favorite stories of the strangest things people have said to us.   If you've ever wondered what it's like to be a twin, listen in for the inside scoop!
