In this episode of The Do Good Business Podcast, we're deep-diving into how to build social impact into a small online business or even as a freelancer.
I’m joined by web designer, Kristen Ellis. Kristen was that virtual assistant who took on any type of work that came her way and quickly experienced burnout, 40-hour workweeks, and services she wasn't passionate about.
She then realized that offering web design services was all she needed to eliminate draining tasks, spend more time being creative, and only work with clients she truly loved.

I've totally been there creating offers either that I'm passionate about but don't sell AND creating offers that feel super sexy and people love them, but it sucks my soul. Finding the balance between both is critical.
When you do find that sweet spot, magic happens and you can FEEL the momentum and traction happening.
In this episode of The Do Good Business Podcast, I’m sharing my top tips for designing new offers for your business that feel aligned but ALSO are attractive to your audience (and sell)!
So, let’s dive in.

In this episode of The Do Good Business Podcast, we're deep-diving into ethical and responsible retail. We're joined by Tiu Tabak. Tiu worked in retail for years and was surrounded by hyper-consumerism, and waste.
She realized this mass consumption is detrimental not only to the environment but also to the livelihood of the workers that make these products - which are often manufactured in oppressive, unsafe, and unsustainable working conditions.
She knew there had to be a better, more intentional, and responsible way of doing things in the retail world, so Kinsfolk Shop was born.
In this episode, we're talking about:
Kinsfolk Shop was started in 2018 and is a small online-only shop dedicated to useful and practical home goods. Products include kitchen gadgets and utensils, soaps and toiletries, cleaning tools, and home décor. Many of which are made in Canada. Their goal is to provide you with quality products that are ethically and responsibly made, and that also have a small ecological footprint.

When we think about how business is done, we think about big guys and companies. But what if the big guys can actually learn from small businesses when it comes to doing business in a positive, responsible, and sustainable way.
In this episode of The Do Good Business Podcast, we're deep-diving into how small businesses can make a real, sustainable impact by embedding giving to their daily activities (yes, that means you too, solopreneur).
We're joined by serial entrepreneur, Amazon best-selling author, and 2x TEDx speaker, Masami Sato. She's the founder of B1G1 and she's passionate about helping small businesses embed giving right into the heart of their everyday activities.
B1G1 is a global giving initiative that’s quickly grown into a global movement. B1G1 makes business giving easy, effective, and meaningful. They have recently reached the 250 Million Giving Impacts milestone!
