This week I am talking to my daugther, Brooklyn Alisha

This is a very special episode where current events dictated the discussion.

Brooklyn and I discuss the recent reversal of Roe vs. Wade decision by the Supreme Court.

I wanted to get the perspective from my 14 year old and get how she feels about this issue of women's rights. She tells me how she feels like it affects her, all women, and how she navigates through her peers comments that oppose her viewpoint.

This week I am taking you back to a conversation I had on Episode 35 with fellow podcaster and my podcast guardian angel, Angel Forte (You see what I did there?!)

Angel (along with her husband Gazza) has created a production company which focuses on highlighting the voices and stories of people of color.

Angel and I tackle the subject of marriage. Should marriage be the end goal for all romantic relationships? I say no, but Angel gives a great reason (other than love & religion) why they should. We also discuss why marriages fail, how to avoid pitfalls, and how working with her spouse...made her marriage stronger.
