Kevin Nolan’s time as Cobblers boss is up. Northampton announced they had parted ways with the former Bolton and West Ham player at 5pm on Monday after winning just once in League One in 2026.

Kevin Nolan’s Cobblers lose for the 5th time in 7 games, with another abject performance from the team down at AFC Wimbledon.

A delightful backheel from Marcus Browne setup Callum Maycock for the only goal of the game, but in truth it should have been a heavier defeat for Northampton Town.

To celebrate 25 years of the NTFC Community Trust, ahead of Saturday’s Community Day at Sixfields we have a special week of episodes.

Today Danny is joined by Jamie Hustwait. Jamie is a participant of the Community Trust’s Volunteer Coaching Academy, which makes employability skills and sports coaching accessible to individuals from underserved communities who may face challenges in accessing mainstream training opportunities. 

Jamie speaks about how he got into the programme, some of the challenges he’s overcome on his journey and then shares a poem that he wrote about his experiences.
