there is no more enfolding, loving, nourishing card in the deck... the star is the deep rest. the rain after the drought. a hot shower after a long day. the most delicious nap. a body melting massage. deeply satisfying rest and rejuvenation in whatever form you like...

the star is the oasis and offers you a safe place to rest and recover. the fact that it appears at all... tells me we are in a recovery moment. so pause. rest. allow yourself to heal and come back to your strength.

it also speaks to your relationship with the containers that hold you... specifically masculine ways of offering love; protection, safety, enclosure. that you are precious and cherished and deserving of rest.

the hermit stands here too. modeling the faith required at such moments. the faith to walk a path unseen. the faith to follow the call of your heart and the winds of the great mystery. it is just too freakin cool.

our first card pull of august has us sitting with our aching yearning hearts... what the world has told you about satisfaction... about achievement and success and "arriving" versus your lived experience of these things. what scripts or narratives around satiation have you been fed, have you been following? and how's that going?

one of the key tenets of tantric practice is that we will always long for more... more love, more adoration, more freedom, more connection, more peace... so we accept that. ok. I will always want more. so what do I do now?

you let that guide you to the places you can be your fullest, most radiant. most liberated self... (that's actually a really solid and valid way to navigate life, in case no one's told you!)

sometimes this energy can come in heavy... looking at you card of the governing elite...

but this week its softer... feels relevant to this tension between connection and freedom we've all been encountering since that king of wands blew though the door... but a little cozier. a little more gentle and generous.

feeling like a moment of earthy satisfaction with people you love, people you may feel as family...

annddd you might feel yourself differently after this month of alchemy... you've changed and often, we can't see it until we find ourselves back in seats we've sat in for a long, long time. sometimes coming back to the family table shows you just how much you've grown and how you've changed.

be curious and generous with these new discoveries and maybe make room for everyone else around the table to be feeling a bit of the same.

enjoy those moments of life that feel good. enjoy the people walking beside you. soak it up like that sweet summer sun.

oh boy. this isn't the easiest energy... the card representing the dark night of the soul. yikes.

let's stay with it though... what will serve you best when there is just a LOT of air energy around? stirring up emotions, confusing your sight, ungrounding you, keeping you tossing and turning.

we prioritize our peace... what practices/places/people help you settle and calm? keep them handy!

we are often facing endings here... addictive behavior can bubble up... and mostly, we become VERY aware of the ways our own thoughts/spells/stories/judgements can wound us.

the call is coming from inside the house so to speak.

I share some techniques to manage this and remind us all that July was always going to challenge our mental body and no matter how long the night, the sun will rise again. And with it, a great sense of our power to transform and transcend. I promise, this too, is happening for you.
