This episode is a little different because I sit down by myself and talk about the past season and reflect on everything we learned and the key takeaways from each episode. We sat down with Breanna Sawatzky who is a mental health coordinator at Red River College to discuss how you can manage stress while in school and what sort of mental health resources are available to help. We also talked about practical self care and what kinds of ways you can relieve stress and help improve your mental health! 

This episode we did something a little bit different and recorded a Skype interview with Alexandra Gater, an editor, stylist and home decor expert from Toronto. She has a YouTube channel with budget friendly decor and room makeover videos, hosts the show Buy or DIY on Coral TV, and is an overall DIY queen. In this episode we had a chance to talk about living on your own for the first time - what to expect and what to look for in an apartment. We also discussed decor on a budget and some super easy DIY hacks to spruce up a space. 

In this episode I sat down with registered dietician Brianne Collette to discuss common food myths. Myths like "carbs and sugar are always bad for you" or even just the trendy foods we see online being promised as a cure all. Then we dive into understanding nutritional terms and how we can use that understanding to inform our food decisions. Lastly we discuss creating intuitive eating habits and checking in on our relationship with food to make sure it is a positive one. 

In our latest episode of the it's like this podcast we sat down with Brooke from My Body Winnipeg to discuss cultivating a positive body image, how body positivity can fit into your relationship with health and fitness, and how to make social media a body positive space for yourself.

We sat down with a Ana Furtado, a financial planner from RBC, and talked about how important it is for young women to set financial goals. We also discussed how to create a budget, stay on top of student loans, and even how to start putting away money for the future!
