The book of Hebrews chapter 10, verses 24 and 25, "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the day approaching." You know, many people today are abandoning the church. If you ask, they generally have the same reason. It's boring, irrelevant, and doesn't meet my needs. But there is, however, a problem with their reasoning. You see, we are, according to the Word of God, the temple of the Holy Spirit. It might be said that God Himself goes to church inside the temple of your body. I wonder if He considers attendance within you boring, irrelevant, and not meeting His needs. Oh, for goodness sakes, my friend. It's time to pray.

There are a weak people that are going to rise again in the last days. Now, you may say, "Pastor, you just don't know how weak I am." To that I say, "Well, you might be weak, but you're not dead." Lazarus was dead and Jesus raised him up to life again. Get up and rise again. There comes a time when a spiritual awakening doesn't happen until you and I wake up and realize that God is still God. Open your mouth and God will fill it. Open your hands and God will train them. If you need courage, He'll give you courage. It's time for the weak to rise and for the church to stand. Psalm 119, verse 126 says, "It is time for you to act, oh Lord, for they have regarded your law as void." In other words, God, it's time for You to do what only You can do. There's a pervasive thought in this godless society that claims God no longer exists and that He has no power. The Psalmist is saying, "For your name's sake, oh God, rise up and stretch forth your hand one more time and begin to heal." That's exactly what they prayed in Acts chapter 4, verses 29 and 30. They said, "Consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness, by stretching out your hand to heal and performing signs and wonders through the name of your Holy servant Jesus." For you today, this is the cry of my heart, that God would stretch out His hands to you in your situation. It's time for You to act, oh Lord, and remember, my brother and my sister, it's time to pray.

In Psalm 102:7, the Psalmist says these words, "I lie awake and am like a sparrow alone on the house top." The late songwriter, Hank Williams, penned these incredible words in one of his songs. "Did you ever see a robin weep when leaves begin to die? That means he's lost the will to live. I'm so lonesome, I could cry." You know, even though this man had fame and fortune, these words came from an honest heart. He was a lonesome man, and so many people today are losing heart as well, some to the point of despairing at the thought of living for just one more day. You and I can help. The Bible says that we can offer comfort to others by opening our hearts to the comfort that God wants to give to us. This comfort comes to us when we begin to seek Him. It's time to pray.

1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear…" Did you know that your life is a sermon? Your life speaks about your hope in Christ. The prophet Isaiah talks about a time when there will be gross darkness upon the earth, but he says, "The light of the Lord's presence will rise upon us and we will become a light in the darkness." What is that light that can point the fearful towards the coming of the Lord? It's the light of Christ living within those who surrender to him. People are afraid. There will be a time when they will come to us because they see the living hope that's in our hearts. We need to be ready to give them an answer of how, that instead of worrying, that you and I have this incredible confidence in God. For you and I, let's always remember our strength comes from prayer. It's time to pray.

In Psalm 14, verse 1, King David said these words, "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God." You know, once again in our day we see the foolishness of fallen humanity on full display. It seems that the curse of Adam has found fertile soil in the minds of those who think that God's laws can be defied without suffering a consequence. Psalm 11:3 says, "If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Well, the answer is simple. We can pray. God answers prayer. He says that wherever two or more are gathered together, He is there with us. He promises that mountains can be moved. Let's you and I not be found today among the foolish. We believe that there is a God. We believe He answers prayer. We believe that the prayers of His saints can move mountains. It's time to pray.

Hebrews, Chapter 11 in verse six, "But without faith, it is impossible to please Him. For He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." If faith is not part of your life, and if we don't come to a place of believing God, this verse says that we really can't please Him. If we're opening the Bible, if you and I are wanting to believe God, if we are wanting to find the purposes of God for our lives, we must believe that God is a present reality in our lives, knowing He will reward us as we sincerely seek Him. Ephesians 6:12, the apostle Paul says these words, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places." When people descend into godlessness, they often become open to demonic suggestion, which if left unchecked, moves in unison with the objectives of darkness. Those objectives are clearly defined as stealing, killing, and destroying that which most clearly represents God in this world and that which is dear to His heart. Make no mistake about it, the devil hates you and all of humankind, those created in the image of God. Don't allow yourself to become a pawn in the hands of darkness, nor susceptible to the enemy's plans. Take up your spiritual armor daily, agree with God, and agree with His Word. It's time to pray.

Listen to the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians, chapter 4, beginning at verse 6, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." As believers in Jesus Christ today, we have so much to be thankful for. Firstly, we have an eternity with all of its unimaginable wonders to look forward to, and then while we journey down here, we have the comfort of knowing that the very same God who gave us His Son will not withhold from us those things that He knows that we need. The scripture tells us that whoever comes to God must know that He's good and He's a rewarder of those who diligently seek him, so come to Him today with a heart full of thanksgiving. It's time to pray.

The Book of Esther, chapter four, verse 14 says these words, "Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this." (Esther 4:14 NKJV) Your true identity is not written on your driver's license. It's not on your marriage or your birth certificate. You have a unique identity given to you by God. The tragedy is that many in our generation have forgotten who they are. The truth is that God designed you so that you could exist at this time and in this moment. He strategically placed you where you are to make a difference for those who cannot fight for themselves. It doesn't matter how you feel about yourself or who you think you are. Your position remains. You are the bride of Jesus Christ, the King, and because of this, you have access to the throne of God, and an authority given you to push back darkness. Remember that when you pray, mountains move. It's time to pray.
