It's time to talk about Tantra, that too often misunderstood practice of being literally everything. In this episode we talk about the sexual, emotional and intuitive layers blended within Tantra and the different ways intimacy between self and others shows up inside this practice. In Part A of my talk with Emily, we talk about the human need for connection and touch, the inner critic and how vulnerability is the all important ingredient for authentic relating. We talk about the humans' potential to process, how the senses bring us into our body and this present moment, the devotional aspects of this practice, how a safe container based in a solid capacity to communicate free of judgment allows us to open and receive the gifts of connection on multiple levels and how the energy of tantra dances with the physical body and world. It's a juicy topic, one steeped in the play of what it's like to, as Emily would say, 'be in discovery'.
Emily has dedicated the last 22 years to explore a broad scope of healing modalities and crafted them into digestible experiences for you. Her deep dive into yoga, meditation, sound Healing, and bodywork lead her into the fascinating world of both classical and NeoTantra.
She describes Tantra as:. A practice that allows us to lean into all parts of our being with curiosity in order to heal our wounds and activate deep intimacy within ourselves and the world around us. It’s about being With and witnessing what is actually there for us to work through while allowing love to remain present.
With a background in Wilderness Therapy facilitation, her blend of working with the mind, body, and spirit weaves into her vast knowledge and passion for human growth and awareness in todays world.
You're invited to visit her website to explore her many offerings and coaching possibilities for women and couples. She has a 7 Day Relationship challenge launching July 15 2020 called "Remembering Your Spark". This seven day challenge calls you back to the spark that originally ignited your love and brought you together.
You'll find Part B of this talk with Emily Weer in Episode 20.
