Many people are unaware if the true definition of self-esteem. It's much deeper than self confidence and self respect. Even deeper than yourself. Self esteem is a measure of ones self worth and self respect. It's important to realize your worthy of happiness, of love and good in the world. Now understanding the vicious cycle? Self-esteem circles itself and creates a vicious cycle. For example say you want a promotion. But don't think your worthy or good enough. So you don't even apply. Then you start to feel worse on yourself. Where does it start? A lot of times a low self esteem starts in childhood maybe you had a tragic event. Been abused or a parent with low self-esteem. And you picked up the behavior. Where does it end? There is an end to the cycle. But it's up to you to truly find yourself. And believe you have the power for a better path. Sometimes it takes the help of a loved one or a therapist to overcome the power of low self esteem. The self fulfilling. Low self esteem can easily become self-filling. Allowing yourself to think you are not worthy and something good is not going to happen. It doesn't have to be that way. Low self esteem dies not have to be there forever. It is possible to overcome the ties and break the cycle. How to overcome? Anyone can overcome low self esteem and break the cycle. Sometimes it takes help from family or therapist.
