Dr. Brady Allen retired from the practice in November of 2018. He was a pioneer of HIV Medicine in the early 80’s, setting the high standards that we still adhere to this very day. Dr. Allen is a nationally recognized expert in the field and has been awarded numerous honors by many of the AIDS Service Organizations, including a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to him by Dr. Jocelyn Elders in 2007. His contributions to the health and well-being of the LGBTQ community are unsurpassed in the DFW Metroplex and his example and passion for his work will always be remembered and treasured by all the clinicians at Uptown Physicians Group.

Her story is included in the Netflix Documentary – Turning Point 9/11 And the War on Terror. Ann believes that the stories of September 11, 2001, are like a mosaic. The stories don’t fit together like a puzzle. Instead, they lay next to each other to form the larger narrative of what happened that day and since. As the author of the recently released Pieces Falling: navigating 9/11 with faith, family & the FDNY, Ann believes in the importance of humanizing history.

Dr. Joseph Stroud was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana and joined the United States Air Force after high school. During his 20-year military career, he was able to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Trident University International. After the passing of the 911 GI Bill in 2009, he completed a PhD in Finance from Trident University International. 

After retiring from the Air Force in 2006, he began working for Fidelity Investments as a stockbroker and currently holds a position as an Investment Consultant which includes helping clients with their investment strategy and overall retirement planning. 

Dr. Stroud sat on the Board of Directors for the National Black MBA Association Dallas Chapter from January 2014 to January 2016. In May 2020, he and four of his high school classmates formed a company called the BT84 Group which focuses on acquiring businesses/franchises along with purchasing real estate properties. Recently, the firm launched BT84 Commercial Capital and Business Solutions which is a commercial brokerage lending company which can finance any individual or company up to $1 Billion for their business capital needs.
