NYC resident Suzie Baer shares her experience of 911, its impact on days, months & years after, on hopes and fears 25 years later. As a filmmaker, she made the feature documentary Warrior, The Life of Leonard Peltier, recognized as the definitive film on Peltier’s life. She’s been a lifelong activist on recycling, No Nukes, organizing for Black liberation, lobbying for safe bike lanes. In 2001 she wrote, Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement. In 2025 she volunteered for Zohran Mamdani’s campaign.

Silas grew up in Davis and has been involved with serving the homeless community here for over 10 years. He is the Supportive Services Coordinator for the Permanent Supportive Housing Program at Paul's Place which is owned and operated by Davis Community Meals and Housing. DCMH has been serving the community since 1990 and they now have 160 beds of permanent supportive housing in Davis and see over 160 people daily in our daytime resource center.
