  • Doc & Son Episode 58 - Son Goes Solo #14

Greetings, fellow listeners. It's been quite a while since Son went solo. Now I've returned after two months to speak to y'all by myself for the fourteenth time. I give you an update on how 2022 is treating me so far, how I plan to keep true to my new year's resolutions, an what to expect in the near-distant future.

    In Memoriam...

  • Doc & Son Episode 57 - Runnin' with Rene: The Return

Greetings, fellow listeners. Doc & Son is back after a lengthy hiatus and we kick off 2022 by sitting down and babbling away with a previous guest from before: Rene Rivero. Apparently, Doc went away to work again before we could resume the pod together, so recurring guest Mom kept his seat warm and the conversation with Rene flowing. Start off the new year by listening to me and Rene catch up on old times, my mom getting to know Rene a little bit more, the reason why I put the pod on hold again, what I went throughout the hiatus, how me and my whole family spent all of Christmas with COVID and in quarantine, and my plans to spend the new year and how I'll be different but not too different (Check out season 4 of "Cobra Kai" on Netflix. All new episodes streaming now).

  • Doc & Son Episode 55 - Ass-bite Afternoon

Greetings, fellow listeners. While Doc's returned, he's fallen under an enchanted slumber. So Mom's filling in his spot along with another surprise drop-in from Duke the dog. We tell you about a recent incident that involves Duke getting his ass bit by the mutt of our lifelong family friends (This episode was recorded when I was having an extremely terrible day).

  • Doc & Son Episode 54 - Son Goes Solo #12

Greetings, fellow listeners. Doc's absent again and I go solo once more for the twelfth time. Hear me discuss about my return to the sport of bowling after a six-month hiatus and how I'm joining my friend Darren's father's bowling team, my many thanks to a girl named Viper who I lent my guitar to on Open Mic Night at Tea & Poets and was extra careful with it, and my rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" as honor and tribute to the heroes of Veteran's Day.

  • Doc & Son Episode 53 - Wild Mike

Greetings, fellow listeners. Doc and I (with a hyperactive Duke the dog scratching our legs) sit down together for a parley with our sixteenth official guest: Mike Perez, a regular I know at Hole in the Wall who is a bar buddy of mine. Hear Mike talk with us about his lifelong profession in the wildlife, his passion for old school music and playing with his band Loose Cannons, and his fascination in traveling around the globe and nature photography. Check out more information on Loose Cannons on http://www.a1promotionsgroup.com

  • Doc & Son Episode 52 - Mawage is a Dweam

Greetings, fellow listeners. Another very special episode for a grand occasion. I'm joined by both my parents to talk with them about their 28th wedding anniversary. Hear us take on the subjects of how they were brought together, what being married to each other for a quarter of a century has been like, the pros and cons about being in a relationship, and me honoring their marriage by singing "You Can Call Me Al" by Paul Simon.

  • Doc & Son Episode 51 - Son Goes Solo #11

Greetings, fellow listeners. Welcome to November! To start off the beginning of Turkey Month, I speak to y'all solo again for the eleventh time. Despite Doc coming home yesterday, I scrapped the plan of babbling with him due to a minor predicament that occurred earlier this morning and decided to shoot the shot single. In this episode, I spew out returning to the outside world after being shut-in for an entire month, what I plan to do once I get sunlight on my skin, my participation in No-Shave November, the 15th anniversary of "Borat" and the comedic ingenuity of Sacha Baron Cohen. Feast your ears on my rendition of the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun" and prepare yourself for my return to the world. Also, unwelcomed drop-in by Doc and Duke the dog.

  • Doc & Son Episode 50 - Son Goes Solo #10

Greetings, fellow listeners. When Doc's away, Son's in play. I fly solo again for the tenth time to develop the podcast's 50th official episode. Eight months we've been doing this, and we made it to the big 5-0. In honor of Halloween, I recite the hilariously iconic dinner scene in "Scary Movie 2" where caretaker Hanson (Chris Elliott) ruins the entire dinner by spreading germs from his deformed hand onto the food. With the intention to make you ROFL, if hope you find my Southern accent to be accurate. If you're a horror fanatic, go watch Edgar Wright's new movie "Last Night in Soho", in theaters everywhere now.

  • Doc & Son Episode 49 - So, Anyway... Happy Birthday, John Cleese!

Greetings, fellow listeners. Doc's away once more, and Mom keeps his seat warm for him. A very special episode this is due to the fact that today is the 82nd birthday of British comedy legend John Cleese, co-founder of the legendary British surreal sketch comedy troupe Monty Python. Not only do Mom and I have a splendid chat about our common love and admiration of Python and how it's become a global pop culture phenomena for the past 50 years and how the Golden Age of sketch comedy is truly extinct, but we wish Mr. Cleese a glorious birthday and how I've become infatuated with his personality and ingenuity. Hear me serenade Mr. Cleese with the ditty "Always Look On the Bright Side of Life", the hit theme from comedy gem "Monty Python's Life of Brian", written by Python member Eric Idle.
