(21:00) We go around the NFL and I’ve got a thought about Bill Belichick and Tony Pollard you might not have considered (40:00). We end it with a great convo with my dude Todd Archer.
We delve into the Cowboys’ blowout win over the NY Jets, who didn’t have
Aaron Rodgers. Then we moved into segment about Micah Parsons’ greatness and impact on the Cowboys followed by a conversation about the Cowboys’ defense. Finally, we discuss CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy the play-caller. Please subscribe, rate and review.
In this episode we start off discussing who wins the Cowboys-Jets game and why. Next we wonder what provoked one coach to mention Coach Prime’s mom followed by a quick trip around the end. We finish with one of the best Whispers from the Star ever.
The episode begins with a discussion about four plays that shaped the Cowboys 40-0 win over the New York Giants, the largest shutout win in franchise history. Next, we discuss my adventures with Lawrence Taylor and Eric Dickerson, a couple of Hall of Fame players and we finish up with a discussion I had with Coach Prime.
What a performance by the Cowboys. It was the best I’ve seen in an opener since they beat the Giants 35-0 in 1995. This episode begins with a discussion of the blowout win. Then I delve into Micah Parsons’ dominant performance and that of his teammates. A conversation about the Texas Coast offense and Mike McCarthy’s play-calling is followed by a Dak Prescott discussion. Then I answer a few questions from some Twitter followers.
Episodes notes: I start off with talking about the Cowboys’ defense and Micah Parsons’ quest for greatness then we hear several comments from Parsons and react to them. That’s followed by a conversation about hunting elk with a bow and the first Whispers From The Star episode in three years.
I start of talking about the end of Jam Session with Matt McClearin and how it led to the beginning of Jacques Talk. Then we shift the conversation to my relationship with Deion Sanders and how that led to my book titled Coach Prime: Deion Sanders and the Making of Men. Finally, I address Colorado’s upset win with some interesting comments from my producer Big Joe in the Big Rig.
