Tonight, on Beyond the Bricks with Jake Query and Mike Thomsen, Jake and Mike talk about the 1955 Indianapolis 500 race being incredibly cold compared to incredibly hot in 1953 and 1954. They also talk about Dinah Shore singing Back Home Again in Indiana and how oddly prophetic Sid Collins was during the race.  

In the second half of the show, Jake and Mike talk about how surreal the 1955 Indianapolis 500 was, and the battle between Jack McGrath and Bill Vukovich. They later talk about the unfortunate fate that Vukovich was involved in a fatal crash while in a quest for his third straight Indy 500.  

In the final segment of the show, Jake and Mike talk about the finish of the 1955 Indianapolis 500, with Bob Sweikert finally achieving racing immortality.
