This year for the first time ever disc golf had a major sponsorship from the Cannabis industry. Sean Jack, Tournament Director for the San Francisco Open, got together with Absolute Xtracts for a sponsorship agreement. The SFO had plenty of representation from ABX, you could see their logo all over, with tons of reps. We got to meet brand manager James Rowan and had one of the most entertaining segments of the evening. James coming from a comedic background killed it on the mic and we got a ton of good conversations regarding disc golf and cannabis. The relation between cannabis and society is continuing to grow and improve. This move helps both disc golf and cannabis feel more legit than ever. The event had an energy to it and you could hear the chatter about ABX just walking around the premises. With both industries on the rise, there could be a great pairing for years to come.
