Welcome back to Season 3 of the Japan Rugby Weekly Podcast!
I'm Doug the translator, and I'm joined again by new Co-Host Heiden Bedwell-Curtis from the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Sagamihara Dynaboars.
This week we react to the news that the spiritual home of Japanese Rugby, Chichibunomiya stadium is being torn down to make way for a new 15000-seat stadium with a roof, artificial pitch and a rugby museum. It is obviously a huge decision with many potential positives and negatives to come from building a new stadium, and we would love to hear your thoughts! Email/comment with your thoughts on the all new Chichibunomiya! Are you a fan, or would you prefer they leave the iconic stadium as it is?
We also talk about the Japan Women's test match vs Ireland, the Sakura 7's recent promotion to a core team in the 7's circuit, as well as previewing the current Japan Rugby League One Champions, The Panasonic Wild Knights. It's great to be back in front of the mics, we hope you all enjoy the new look podcast!
