Since I started this radio, I followed polite forms, which are used for a teacher, boss, stranger, shop worker, and so on.
In this lesson, I will introduce plain forms, which are used for such as family members, friends, and someone who are close to us.
Simply, polite forms are used for formal occasion.
Plain forms are used for casual occasion.
Please refer to some examples for both polite forms and plain forms.
-Plain forms:たべる (Dictionary form)
い-adjectives: うつくしい (beautiful)
-Plain forms:うつくしい (Drop です)
な-adjectives: きれい (clean, beautiful)
-Plain forms:きれいだ (Replace です with だ)
Noun + です: がくせいです (is/am a student)
-Plain forms:がくせいだ (Replace です with だ)
い-adjectives: うつくしい (beautiful)
-Plain forms:うつくしくない (Drop です)
な-adjectives: きれい (clean, beautiful)
-Plain forms:きれいではない (Drop です)
Noun + です: がくせいです (is/am a student)
-Polite forms: がくせいではないです
-Plain forms:がくせいではない (Drop です)
