I ate a hamburger and a pizza yesterday.

きょう　りんご　と　みかん　を　かいました。

と(to) also has the meaning of "together with"

I will eat a lunch with Mr. Suzuki today.

In this radio, I will introduce how to express the existence of something or someone.

There are two expressions to describe the existence depending on animacy.

For non-living thing, you use あります

For living thing, you use います

あそこ　に　がっこう　が　あります。

There is a school over there.

* school is a non-living thins, so you use あります

あそこ　に　わたし　の　はは　が　います。

There is my mother over there.

* mother is living thing, so you use います

おかね　が　ありません。

I don't have money.

じかん　が　ありません。

I don't have time.

あした　おまつり　が　あります。

There will be a festival tomorrow.

1. ください（Please give me X）

これ　ください。

Please give me this.

ハンバーガー　ください。

Please give me a hamburger.

2. よろしくおねがいします。

This is commonly used for the situation when we meet at the first time.

わたし　は　さとう　です。よろしくおねがいします。

I am Sato. Nice to meet you.

よろしくおねがいします can be used when you ask something to someone.

For example, when you ask your boss to check your document, you say, よろしくおねがいします。

3. いくらですか。(How much)

これ　いくらですか。

How much is this?

このくつ　いくらですか。

How much are these shoes?

4. ませんか。(The way of invitation)

きょう　マクドナルド　に　いきませんか。

How about going to McDonald's today?

を(wo) indicates something directly affected by the event.

で(de) indicates the place where the action is taken.

マクドナルド　で　ハンバーガー　を　たべます。

I will watch a movie at a theater.

に(ni) has two meanings.

Direction:

きょう　マクドナルド　に　いきます。

I will go to McDonald's. today.

ことし　アメリカ　に　かえります。

I will go back to the US this year.

Time:

１２じ　に　ひるごはん　を　たべます。

I will eat lunch at 12.

げつようび　に　アメリカ　に　かえります。

I will go back to the US on Monday.

へ(he) indicates direction as well as に ; however, it cannot refer to time.

きょう　マクドナルド　へ　いきます。

I will go to McDonald's. today.

ことし　アメリカ　へ　かえります。

I will go back to the US this year.
