While directing his segment for 1983’s The Twilight Zone: The Movie, a helicopter accident tragically resulted in the deaths of actor Vic Morrow and child actors Myca Dinh Le and Renee Shin-Yi Chen. In 1987, Landis was charged with involuntary manslaughter but was ultimately acquitted.
