The Threesome being shockingly mature may seem like an oxymoron, but here we are. A significant theme of this film was abortion. It approached the subject in a genuine and profound manner. It never devolved into a pro-life MAGA narrative, nor did it romanticize abortion. It's a difficult and sorrowful choice for anyone to make. Individuals should have the right to choose not to have an abortion based on their moral convictions, just as others should have the right to choose to have one. Ruby Cruz's character was initially depicted as an "anti-abortion religious fanatic," but as the story unfolds, it reveals her fears and beliefs. She would criticize herself for considering an abortion, yet she never implies that she opposes the right to choose; rather, she simply feels it isn't the right choice for her. This film truly encapsulates what being pro-choice means: the choice.

The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 are among my favorite horror films from the past 15 years. Some might argue that The Conjuring is one of the greatest horror films ever made. James Wan has carved out a niche for himself in the Conjuring universe, alongside films like Insidious and various spin-offs. However, this has also led to several filler movies directed by less experienced filmmakers. Michael Chaves is not a bad director, but his work here pales in comparison to the first two films and even the most recent one, which was quite solid. This installment feels like the least engaging of the four; although it features some decent demonic scares and visuals, it ultimately lacks a significant purpose beyond being a supposed conclusion.

There are subtle nods to Aronofsky's debut film "Pi," which was released in the same year the story unfolds. A nostalgic 90s soundtrack and abundant period details work together to evoke a sense of that time marked by general happiness. The Lower East Side exhibits signs of gradual gentrification, albeit with lingering roughness. Anyone who experienced NYC during that transformative period will find this portrayal captivating. While Aronofsky is not typically associated with mainstream appeal, he demonstrates his versatility with this enjoyable urban escapade.

I recently re-watched this film and was completely amazed by the intense suspense it created within me. My daughter, who is 17, and I were both astonished by the quality and realism of a film from 1975!! Our 55-inch TV showcased the movie to its fullest potential, and it certainly did not let us down.

That unforgettable scene of the young woman skinny dipping in the dark with her male companion is profoundly haunting. You can sense the horror of what is about to unfold, and the buoy ringing in the background sends chills down your spine. Steven Spielberg masterfully captures sheer terror in that moment.

Jaws fully immerses you; as the trio of shark hunters set out to capture the great white, you start to feel like a part of their journey. You worry for their safety, share in their excitement, and dread what lies ahead. When that fishing line begins to spin, your heart races. This is true cinematic excellence.

The dynamics between Richard Dreyfuss, Roy Scheider, and Robert Shaw are exceptional. Their character differences lead to friction, as they often irritate and disrespect one another, yet ultimately, they support each other and form a bond that surprises them all.

As events start to unfold, you empathize with the trio, and trepidation becomes the only path forward. They face the fight of their lives, displaying boundless bravery. You can't help but feel admiration for them.

This film is an absolute classic, and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to watch and enjoy it.

If you think this film will deliver an Oscar-worthy performance solely due to its star-studded cast, you're quite mistaken. The movie aligns perfectly with what the description and trailer suggest. Are people not aware that even great actors sometimes want to take part in a fun film?

I genuinely enjoyed watching this movie. It features excellent actors and an engaging plot with some humorous moments! It's an ideal choice for a relaxed day. Throughout much of the film, I found myself envious that my future retirement home won't be as beautiful.

Somewhat strange from the start, this film successfully depicted an unconventional relationship dynamic in a funny, frequently surprising manner.. Cubert Bumbersnatch gave an excellent performance, and his unnamed partner also performed admirably.

The supporting characters, although often quite ridiculous, fit well into the film and contributed nicely to the overall story. The tone does take a darker turn as the couple ventures into new, unexplored aspects of their relationship, but fortunately for the audience, it concludes on a positive note!

An astonishing instance of reality often being far stranger than fiction.

The offender warranted more than just 19 months. Sending messages to the girl urging her to take her own life is utterly unacceptable. At one point, the boy mentions he is experiencing suicidal thoughts, and even that did not halt the harassment! The messages were extremely cruel.

Some of the details are hard to believe. There were numerous warning signs in behavior throughout... Especially in a small town where people typically know each other's affairs.

I believe the police should have sought professional (FBI) assistance much sooner, particularly as the messages increased, became extremely offensive, and were directed at multiple victims. Even if a cyberstalker employs applications to mask the sending phone number, warrants can reveal the true origins.

These types of shows always require a suspension of disbelief for their plot twists to be effective. In the style of Tom Clancy and other political action thrillers, the enjoyment comes from the (sometimes significant) moments of disbelief. The more outrageous, the better. Ultimately, it's a power fantasy, and this time it focuses on women, which, for me, brought a refreshing change to an otherwise quite clichéd subgenre.

It's not exceptional, but it's definitely not bad. Good production values, solid acting, and effective pacing contribute positively. Five episodes is just right. I hope more series take note. The 8+ episode format for shows like this often feels like padding.

Hostage, created by the writer of Bridge of Spies and featuring the lead actor from Gentleman Jack, how could this new political thriller not be exceptional! I initially planned to watch just one episode and save the rest for later, but I found myself unable to stop. It's captivating, the way they recreated #10 and Parliament, along with the iconic Julie Delpy, compelled me to binge-watch it all at once. And let's discuss Suranne Jones. This actress was destined to portray strong female characters. Perhaps it's her height, but she truly commands a room and draws attention! When she gazes at you with those dark eyes, it's enchanting. Her voice effortlessly conveys both calmness and outrage. Netflix is set to introduce her to global audiences; she's already a star in her home country of England. Just award her the Emmy/Bafta right now. It's long overdue since she was overlooked for Gentleman Jack.

I had high hopes for this movie. After reading all four books, I found myself laughing at many of the scenes. The cast was fantastic, with actors who truly embodied the characters as I envisioned them. I believed a series would have been more effective than a movie to delve deeper into the story, as it felt a bit hurried. For me, the most amusing part of the books was Joyce's daily journal entries. Her attempts to navigate social media as an older individual were absolutely hilarious. Perhaps a bit more humor would have made it perfect for me.
