Many of you know Daxton Page from the band Kirra. A few years ago, after a lot of research & implementation in his own band, he decided to help other musicians & launched MusiciansIgnite.com . Since then, Dax has built up a list of clients, working, independent musicians & artists who have taken the leap & decided to seek the information to help get their project to the next level, help grow their fanbase, & make money in the process. There are so many bands, who struggle to make any of their money back, that they have spent on their gear, studio time, creating songs. Dax has created a system that is working for his current clients as well as his own project. He is hosting a 3 day, live event seminar to teach you some of these methods & techniques this weekend in Norman, OK. You can get all of the details at MusiciansIgnite.com

I originally met Dime Store Riot at Rocklahoma a couple of years ago when they stopped by the KATT booth for an interview. Since that time, they have put the pedal down & have not looked back, playing shows all over the region. They have sent me a couple of new songs for the Local Talent Show & are one of the bands competing in the "Battle For KATTFEST". Night 1 is this Saturday Night at the Diamond Ballroom, night 2 is August 9th at the Diamond.

I discovered King Pink from hosting the KATT Local Talent Show on Rock 100.5 The KATT. I had played some of their music on the show a few times & finally met Taylor when my mom needed a washing machine and i just so happened to respond to Taylors marketplace listing, not knowing he was also in the band King Pink.

This episode of the Jay Ramone Podcast, I am joined by Whitney Anderson of The Dragonfly Home in Oklahoma City.

Read below a brief description of what The Dragonfly Home does, taken from their website - thedragonflyhome.org

"The people we serve at Dragonfly inspire us every day with their courage, creativity, and determination.

Dragonfly specializes exclusively in human trafficking victim-survivors services. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year.

Helping people recover from the trauma of human trafficking is about more than a list of services. It’s about being there to celebrate each person’s daily victories, offer an empathetic ear on the hard days, and help navigate the many barriers trafficking victim-survivors face as they work to build a new life.

Through Dragonfly’s programs, our team provides highly specialized crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy to address the severe trauma and extensive needs that are specific to victim-survivors of human trafficking and their children.

We meet each person exactly where they’re at on their path after human trafficking."
