Roger Goodell the De Blasio of Sport Commissioners.  The owners are committed and focused on diversity coaching hires.
There is going to be an NBA All-Star game.  Why?  Bringing players together from all over the country to play March 7th in Atlanta.  What could go wrong.
I love that Kentucky is 5-11 after losing last night to Missouri 75-70.   Wildcats have lost five of the last six.

Florida Sports Man on the pod today talking SB LV with him taking TB with the points and I'm going with the favorites, KC.  Going to be a 75% of rain for the game.
Urban Meyer's players at Florida had a lot of problems off the field but won two national championships.  Will the winning continue in Jacksonville?
Who will go next in the QB carousel?  Florida Sports Man says Cousins to SF, Jimmy G to the Pats and the #15 pick to the Vikings.   So the Vikes would have the 14 and 15 in the 2021 NFL draft.   Deshaun to the Jets?  Time will tell.  He still thinks Rodgers could be leaving GB.  I don't see that happening.

Great documentary on Showtime about Hector Camacho.  Taken too soon.  
Eric Bieniemy  doesn't want pity for not getting a head coaching job and Todd Bowles says when we stop calling them black coaches that will be a step forward.  But only 4 minority coaches out of 32 and 70% of the NFL is Black.  We aren't moving forward fast enough.
WNBA stars like Candace Parker making 95K a season.  The disparity with NBA salaries is alarming.  I know the WNBA doesn't have the sponsorships deals and TV contracts of their big brother but no wonder women have to play year round to make a living.  The WNBA is a great product.  They should be compensated better then they are currently.

Matthew Stafford going to LA and Jared Goff going to the Motor City, Detroit.  I feel Stafford will thrive in LA and be near his buddy Clayton Kershaw.
NBA's Western Conference has nine teams over .500 compared to six in the Eastern Conference.  Heat got back Jimmy Butler after ten games and improve to 7-12 after beating the 8-11 Kings 105-104.   Heat have some work to do to get back to NBA finals.  
Nets bring back Iman Shumpert.   Maybe he can bring some D to Brooklyn.

Seahawks OL Chad Wheeler a 310 pound man allegedly chokes his 145 pound girlfriend and leaves her for dead.   He's already made bail and hopefully he will see full justice of the law. 
Asia Durr is 23 years old playing for the Liberty of the WNBA and got Covid-19 in June 2020 and has lost 32 pounds.  Hasn't played basketball in six months and not sure if she will be able to play again.   Wear a mask!  Please get well soon Ms. Durr.  
Today is the 30 year anniversary of Superbowl XXV Giants beating the Bills 20-19 in Tampa.  They never had a parade for the 1990 Giants because of Desert Storm and didn't have a 30 year reunion because of the pandemic.

Happy 60th birthday to the Great One, Wayne Gretzky.  
Patrick Mahomes has a ways to go to be considered the NFL GOAT which is given way too soon for some athletes.   At SBLV he can look across the field at the true GOAT, TB12 who will be playing in his 10th Superbowl.   And for Steven A. Smith to say that Hill and Kelce make Mahomes great is ridiculous.  They are a team and bring out the best in each other.  Mahomes is a phenomenal talent but let his career take the course it was meant to take.  It's a marathon not a sprint with first, second and third acts.

Florida Sportsman  joined me today to talk about NFL Championship Sunday.  Both of us not fans of the Packers Matt LaFleur.  He should be a offensive coordinator not a head coach.  Props to Todd Bowles defense vs the Packers and Brady is going to his 10th Superbowl.
Patrick Mahomes showed us something but the future looks bright for the Bills and Josh Allen.  
Florida Sportsman thinks the Niners would be a great fit for Rodgers.  I don't think he's going anywhere.
Texans hire Eric Bieniemy.  
Yankees getting under the luxury tax and first trade with the Sox in seven years?  George is rolling in his grave.
