JED Talks

This week Jed is joined by co-host of the Lament Configuration podcast, Tromette, Alternative Model, Actress and Graphic Designer... Ria Fend!

Though Ria tries her best to make the whole episode horror-centric, Jed makes sure there are suggestions for everybody's taste. As long as that taste is underrated and possibly unusual!

You can get in touch with Jed on twitter @jedshepherd and Ria @riafend.

In this latest episode Jed speaks to filmmaker/animator/friend Chris Blundell, whose 8-bit feature film 'The Hit Squad' - about an 80s band who have fallen on hard times and attempting a comeback - is out soon.  If you are a burgeoning filmmaker and want to know how painful it is to make an animated film all by yourself, then this is the podcast episode to listen to!

Of course there are the usual film & TV recommendations to take the hassle out of having to choose what to watch on Netflix (or any other streaming service!).

Please rate, review and subscribe if you've liked anything you've heard as its really appreciated!

Follow Jed on twitter @jedshepherd and we will see you next week!

An absolute stonker of an episode this week as I have one of my favourite people and friends in the world on... ANNIE HARDY! You might know Annie from her Giant Drag days and being voted by NME as one of the coolest people in the world and by VICE as one of the hottest girls around.

This episode, we discuss Annie's time working with director Spike Jonze on his robot movie - where Annie plays a robot named Annie - her new album, and a bunch more things this side of controversial. There is ALOT to talk about as Annie also talks about the incredible tragedies that have happened to her and all leads to a very colourful episode of WTWON indeed.

Six more recommendations of tv shows/films/docs you can watch right now on the streaming platform of your choice that come with the WTWON thumbs up. We take the hassle out of choosing so you can spend more time giving us good review on Itunes! (thank you).

Please rate, review and subscribe if you are so inclined and please tell your mates! See you next week! Also if you like what you hear check out Annie's podcast 'EMPATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE' and also my other one 'THE PILOT'.

Welcome to another episode of WHAT TO WATCH ON NETFLIX, the podcast that takes the hard work out of choosing from the myriad options on the streaming network of your choice. This week I am joined by actress Radina Drandova who stars in the award-winning viral hit 'Dawn of the Deaf'.

Radina's choices are all on Netflix as per the title of the show, but this week I have gone horror crazy and all of my choices are available on the horror streaming platform SHUDDER. Yes, I know I am preaching to the choir, but I just love what I love!

If you liked this episode please let me know on twitter @jedshepherd and rate and review on iTunes.

See you next week!

I'm at the ART FILM FESTIVAL in Kosice, Slovakia and thought I'd take some time out to talk to my cinematographer friend Rory Soler who is also here at this great festival. Rory went anime-heavy so if you've ever wanted to get into Japanese animation, this is your one-stop shop!

We also speak a little about the festival and the films we have watched here. Spoilers: You guys need to go to Slovakia, its incredible!

Also mention the start of a new section. Recommend something to me on twiter @jedshepherd and get a shout out at the end of the podcast. Hope you enjoy and see you next week!

Season 2 brings back Mr Rob Jelly to the podcast, fresh from starting a brand new podcast with myself called The Pilot! Instead of pitching pilot episode of TV shows against each other every week, this time we are suggesting films, tv shows or documentaries to watch. These may be underrated, undervalued or underseen and are all available on streaming networks right now.

Hope you enjoy this episode and let me know what you think as usual on twitter @jedshepherd. If you appreciate what I do every week, please let me know by giving a lovely review on Itunes and remember to rate and tell your friends. Don't get confused and rate your friends though. That could get messy.

Its a new series of WHAT TO WATCH ON NETFLIX and I have tons of cool guests lined up for the coming months. This week we have Pete Bune, Sean King, & Will Puntarich from one of my favourite podcasts 'Pitch It Movie Podcast'! These guys know their movies at an almost carnal level so I gave them a call to get their juicy recommendations.

I have to say that these are definitely some of my favourite ever heads ups, and I hadn't even heard of some of their choices which is very rare indeed!

Check out their amazing podcast (which Im on in the next few days) where they have an hour to pitch a movie from scratch - Im obsessed! Check them out here: https://en-gb.facebook.com/pitchitmoviepodcast/ and on twitter @pitchitmoviepod

Dont forget to rate, review and subscribe and catch me on twitter @jedshepherd.

See you next week!

Just a quick mini episode to tell you details of the new series in June and that in the meantime, there's a new show you might like!

While you wait for S2, try out THE PILOT from your good mates @ POST/POP hosted by Rob Jelly and Jed Shepherd.

In this episode, Jed speaks to Film Journalist MATTHEW TURNER, who has a job where he specifically seeks out new films and recommendations. So we plough his knowledge base for the most interesting films and TV shows, so you don't have to do any searching at all!

If you enjoy this episode, please rate and review on Itunes and you can catch Jed on twitter @jedshepherd and Matthew @filmfan1971.
