Like any self respecting movie podcast, the Jersey Ghouls love the free streaming service, Tubi! In this episode the Ghouls searched through the never ending horror section on Tubi to chat about the titles that jumped out at them and even had each other watch one! As per usual, Marissa takes one path and Jacki takes another, but in the end, it's all love for Tubi.

They dive into the academic discourse surrounding these films They talk race and feminism in both films, and reflect on the power of racial tensions as they relate to this moment in history. Jacki and Marissa continue their deep dive into the Mike Flanagan Cinematic Universe (MFCU). The trace the writer/director's evolution through Hush and Before I Wake and once again gush over Flanagan's style and horror expertise. They explore how these films continue to highlight the origin story of the superhero and his later creations. They explore representation of disabilities and controversies surrounding that, and talk to the growing metaphoric horror that has become the hallmark of Flanagan's style.

Happy Valloween! This week the Ghouls get sentimental and mushy and celebrate all things love between a woman and... well... not your average partner. Zombies and Shakespeare are the perfect combo in 2013's Warm Bodies. While a snappy musical number and a very charming creature made the Ghouls fall in love with 2024's Your Monster.
