There’s a lot of confusion in our culture right now regarding marriage, gender, and sexuality. As Christians, we build our worldview on God’s Word—and that includes our beliefs about marriage.
Genesis highlights God creating marriage between one man and one woman for life. And Jesus reaffirmed this in the New Testament. When he was asked about marriage, his response was to quote from Genesis chapters 1 and 2, the very place where marriage began. He recognized that marriage was designed by God and we need to follow his design.
We don’t have the authority to redefine marriage and God’s “very good” design of one man and one woman.
