After Jesus was tried before Pilate, he was beaten to no recognition. You wouldn’t even be able to recognize him as a man. One of the things that he said as he hung on the cross was, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” This was the only time in the Gospels when Jesus didn’t refer to God as Father. In today’s message, Pastor Mark will be sharing more about what happened between God the Father and Jesus while Jesus was on the Cross. Jesus laid down his right as a son of God at that moment so that he could be tried and sacrificed in our place. Because of his sacrifice, we can now be called children of God.
