Religious practices can easily become a religious problem. Too often the rituals performed in churches are misused as trying to “get” something from God – you do this act, and you expect that it’s enough for God to give you what you want. That’s not what Christianity is, though! Jesus calls you to love your enemies, and even pray for them!

God uses people – that means He wants to use you too! In today's message, Pastor Daniel will share how Esther and Mordecai are used to save the nation of Israel, but he'll also point out that their situation might not be much different than yours. No matter where you are or who you're surrounded with, God knows, and He has a plan! His plan might just involve you being the source of rescue, the person to change the lives of those you love!

Pastor Daniel today will remind you of the Golden Rule – treat others as you'd want them to treat you! Haman will see this firsthand today as the King tasks him with honoring Mordecai. Haman isn't at all pleased with this, and his pride is certainly going to take a hit. God may ask you to do something unpleasant as well, but He has the right motivation behind it! God knows you can grow, and He may use other people to show you how!

Let's be honest – it feels good to be noticed by other people! You've probably experienced praise from friends or family for something you do, and it's possible that's been your motivation for taking on other tasks. But is that the best reason? Today Pastor Daniel will ask you to challenge your own motivation, and maybe make some changes to where you're looking for affirmation! The best praise always comes from above – from God!

Financial generosity is just one way you can give of yourself, but it's an accurate depiction of where your heart is! Today Pastor Daniel will be challenging you to take a closer look at how generous you are with your life, and especially your money. It's easy to let wealth rule your actions, even when you don't intend it. Holding too tightly to your financial status is dangerous, though! God asks all His followers to trust Him in all things – even your money!
