Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

This world has some appealing aspects to it. Some of it is good, some bad, but if what you're chasing in the world is taking you away from God, it's not worth the pursuit. Today, Pastor Daniel will warn you not to take something of the world that you want and try to put a Jesus spin on it. It doesn't make your activity worth God's recognition! Instead, look for what your Creator can offer instead – it's always going to surpass your expectations!

Resting isn't really advised in this world. We all want to achieve, so we run until we drop. We reach as high as we can and then we keep trying to climb. Taking time to rest – especially a full day, as God advocates in today's message – isn't always welcomed. Pastor Daniel will encourage you though to observe a Sabbath. Take the time to let God rejuvenate you! As He becomes your restoration, you'll find that everything else falls into its proper place!

Today, Pastor Daniel will remind you that God is just. He doesn't pick favorites, nor does He side with someone based on His personal preference. God wants what's right and true to be the focus! Pastor Daniel will urge you today to fight for the truth, no matter who it involves, or what you personally want to believe. God loves everyone, and wants to see everyone know Him, and He just might be sending you to show others who He is!

Today's message does contain some adult content, so caution is advised by Pastor Daniel. This may not come as a surprise to you, but God does have an opinion on sexuality. He has created a perfect way to express this part of who you are, and it's fulfilled through Him. However, the culture you live in has distorted God's perfect plan, and it's hard to see what the right thing is. Pastor Daniel encourages you today to seek God in this area of your life!

God has given you everything you have. Yes, you've probably worked hard for the resources you have, but Pastor Daniel will be asking you to examine the source. It's God – He's given you the abilities and the means by which to have what you have! You're here today listening because God created you! Pastor Daniel will also be asking you to consider what God might want you to do with your resources too. Today's message has some adult themes.

Pastor Daniel is honest today – we live in a fallen world, and bad things will happen. That's just the nature of humanity and evil. When those bad things happen, however, your response is important. Pastor Daniel will remind you that God wants His people to be just and loving, and to do all we can to make things right. He wants what's best for everyone, so He encourages you to think along the same lines. Seek to be loving and honest in all your encounters!

In his message today, Pastor Daniel will talk again about the importance of children honoring their parents. This is more than just a nice saying or a way to control kids – God established this law to help the next generation learn how to function in society! If children aren't taught by their parents, they won't know how to act when they reach adulthood and are introduced to the real world! There's more chance for success with a Godly foundation!

We think of slavery and servanthood much differently today than in Moses time! Today Pastor Daniel will explain what being a slave was to the Israel culture – how it was more of an employment situation than a person owning another human being. This form of work was to provide for a family or to pay off a debt, and there were specific and humane guidelines that God wanted to make sure His people followed!

Today Pastor Daniel will dive into the next part of the law, sometimes referred to as the Torah. This set of expanded laws get's quite detailed, and it can be confusing at times! Pastor Daniel will begin by discussing sacrifices, and reminding you that YOU are a living sacrifice to God! Your Creator wants you to step away from what you want and come to Him, giving yourself to Him to do what He knows is best for your future!

Coveting, or desiring something someone else has, is a real problem in every society. We aren't content with what we possess, and the shiny new car or big house or seemingly perfect family entices us. Pastor Daniel will be talking today about how coveting can actually be a form of idolatry – you base your worth and value on a physical object or worldly achievement. He'll urge you to seek your identity elsewhere – in Christ!
