Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

God’s timing is perfect, but it doesn’t always seem that way. As humans, we tend to get impatient when waiting for a promise. Pastor Daniel has a warning in today’s message for all of us though - don’t try to “help” God with what He’s said He’ll do! The law that you read about in the Old Testament does have a purpose - it shows you that there’s no way to keep it perfectly all the time! Sin puts you in chains. It may seem “free” to do whatever you want, but sin is sneaky. It presents itself as good and fulfilling, but in the end it will trap you, making you desire it more and more. It’s hard to break away from sin, but Jesus made a way! Today Pastor Daniel will remind you that if you’ve been redeemed by Jesus, you can’t let those old sins back into your life! Faith is more than just a personal change - faith gives you a family! You’re adopted as a son or daughter of God the moment you give your life to Jesus! God created all of us to be in community, to encourage and support each other as we all grow in our relationships with the Lord. Let your brothers and sisters in Christ be part of your life!

The law doesn't give life. It can't make you righteous, because you can't keep every letter of it perfectly all the time. The law of the Old Testament has always been all or nothing! God made promises to Abraham, and He fulfilled them. He made promises to Isaac, and Jacob, and the Israelites, and He fulfilled those too. He's made promises throughout the Bible, before and after the law was written, and He's never been unfaithful! Today, Pastor Daniel will be reminding you that you can trust God. His faithfulness is proven! If God has made a promise to you today, don't doubt Him – His timing is perfect, and He will do as He's said!

Being a follower of Jesus is a continual process – you're saved by grace, but you're meant to grow in that relationship with Christ. There's always more to learn and more that the Holy Spirit wants to work on in your life! However, Pastor Daniel today will remind you that you can't go back to relying on yourself to make those changes. It's all from Jesus, and it's all about relying on Him to do what He needs to do in you. Trust Him – not you!
