Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

Worshipping God isn't always easy, especially when circumstances are hard. Pastor Daniel tells us in today's message that this is actually the best time to worship God! If we trust that He knows what He's doing and that He'll bring about the best solution, we can praise Him in the storm! No matter what we face, we can have faith that He's ahead of us, working everything out for His glory and for the benefit of all!

God's timing is always best! However, it's common for us to skip over His timing and take what we want right now. In today's message, Pastor Daniel will share how much better it is for us to wait for God to give us the things we desire. He knows our hearts and wants to bless us, but we may not be ready when we think we are. Instead we should wait, walk in obedience, and allow God to direct the steps needed to achieve His goals!

Pastor Daniel shares a tidbit of information today that might come as a surprise to some of us – God isn't angry with us! When we accept Jesus as our Savior and live under His blood, God's anger is appeased! Jesus took all His wrath on the cross, and because of our faith in Him, we're not condemned. God may at times correct us, as any loving parent does, but it isn't for punishment; instead, God's shaping us into better people!

Life brings with it many opportunities for big emotion, both high and low. While emotions are good and something God has given us to express ourselves, we can easily let them get out of control! In today's message, Pastor Daniel will remind us to let God be in command of our lives in all ways, even our emotional responses. Instead of letting what we feel dictate where our lives end up, God should be the one leading and directing!

There are parts of Scripture that are undeniably hard to deal with. Today we'll encounter one such section that details God's destruction of the city of Jericho. Pastor Daniel will share that while we don't always know the why, we can always trust in the perfection of the Who. God's plan is always right. If we can trust that He sent His Son to die for our sins and set us free, then we can trust that the violence from the Old Testament had a purpose!

God does crazy things in this world. He has since the beginning of time! As we'll see today in the story of Jericho's demise, God takes what seems foolish and makes it the most brilliant strategy imaginable! In doing so, He shows with no doubt that He was the one creating the victory! Pastor Daniel tells us in today's message to not ignore the crazy things we think God's asking of us. It could be that we're going to be part of a Jericho-like victory!

Pastor Daniel today equates growing in faith to growing physically. When we're newborns, we need a lot of care and attention, but as we grow we become more independent in daily activities. Just as parents care for their children, so too our Heavenly Father provides for our needs. His methods may change over time, giving us more independence in our choices, but His presence in our lives will never wane. God is always there!

Today Pastor Daniel will share some of God's final instructions for the people of Israel before they entered the Promised Land. These things that had to be accomplished were not only uncomfortable, but seemed completely counterproductive! There may be some thing that God's asking you to do too, but you may think it seems a little crazy. God, however, always has the bigger picture in mind, and you can always trust He knows what's best!

Today Pastor Daniel shares a truth that might surprise us – our lives are NOT about us! They're about what God is doing through us to reach the world with the good news of Jesus! God created you uniquely and perfectly to do exactly what's needed for your part in the Kingdom, and it won't fit for anyone else. Instead of looking at others and wondering why you aren't like them, embrace the unique ministry God is working through you!

Setting up spiritual memorials for yourself is a good idea, for a few reasons as we'll discover in today's message! Pastor Daniel will share that memorials remind us of God's faithfulness, and are a picture of what He's done in our lives. They can urge us to return to those times of trust, especially when we've strayed away. These reminders also serve as a testimony for future generations, showing the power of God and the benefit of faith!
