Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

No matter what's happening right now in the world, we can have peace and live in hope. That may seem like too difficult a thing to grasp today, but Pastor Daniel wants us to embrace this reassurance from Jesus! The world we know, filled with chaos and pain and confusion, is just a temporary place! One day, Jesus will return and wipe out evil. One day, if we're committed to being His followers, we'll go to live with Jesus in Heaven forever!

God wants us to shift our focus from ourselves to the hurting world around us. This contradicts what society tells us, though! Instead of making our own selves the center of the universe, we must jump into God's will and path for us! Pastor Daniel today tells us that's why fasting is important, and an act of resistance. We're fighting against worldly mindsets, choosing to voluntarily deny something in order to understand the plight of others!

As we continue to study the prophecies of Isaiah in this series, Pastor Daniel wants to take a moment and explain what a prophet's job actually was, and how it applies to us. In today's message, we'll come to understand that a prophet took people out of their comfort zones. They told the truth, no matter how harsh the lesson was! God desires for all of His people to seek Him first, setting aside personal comfort to change a world in need!

As followers of Jesus, we're called to follow Him and do His work here on earth. This isn't just an individual calling – it's meant for every member of the body of Christ. As a church, we will be very effective in ministry when we're diving into serving Jesus and loving the world. Pastor Daniel encourages each of us today to find our place of serving within our church family, and unite as a body to engage the world beyond our walls!

The church functions not only as an army for God, but also as a place of recovery and restoration. God is our great physician who heals our sins and our hurts. We act as nurses and doctors as well, but as Pastor Daniel will remind us in today's message, we can't stay in the hospital. We're being renewed, and we need to step into our new life and join the fight against the enemy. There's a war being waged, and it's time to get in the battle!

God could have created the world and the people in it and then left it alone, but our Heavenly Father is nothing like that! Today, Pastor Daniel will share just how deeply God cares for each of us, and will offer us an invitation from the Creator to get to know Him in a deeper and much more personal way. God has an incredible, abundant life planned for each of us, but we have to be willing to put our trust in Him. Are you ready to accept this invitation?

Pastor Daniel has an incredible invitation to extend to you today. This invitation comes from Jesus, and is available every single moment of every single day. It's open to everyone, no matter who you are or what you've done in the past! And if you choose to accept it, your life will be changed forever. What's the invitation? It's to spend your life in relationship with Jesus, who came to take away your sins and shower you with grace and love!

Pastor Daniel will teach an interesting concept today – as we grow in our walk with Jesus, we need to actually become more like children! The closer we draw to our Savior, the more we'll learn to trust Him for everything! He will always provide what we need, even when we can't see how. His love saved us from death, and will support us in life. Just as a child trusts without question, so to do we need to have unwavering faith in our Savior!

Becoming more like Jesus isn't easy. It's a transformation that takes time and hard work, but the process is worth it! Pastor Daniel will share today that while we're being changed by Jesus, we don't have to hide it. We shouldn't pretend like we have it all together and that we're perfect – we're not! Especially in a church family, we need to be honest about our struggles, and allow Jesus to shine through us as we grow in Him!

The prophecy we'll learn about today in the book of Isaiah is written in future tense, and as Pastor Daniel will share, was something the people of Israel still had to look forward too. For us, though, these promises are current! Jesus DID come, and He DID shepherd His people! He gave hope and life and comfort in the middle of strife, and He still does this for us right now! We have access to the unending grace and love of our Shepherd King!
