Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

Faith isn't something that's seen everyday. Faith takes courage – it takes action without having evidence of the promised outcome! Pastor Daniel will tell us today that following God takes believing beyond what we think we can endure! We do have examples to draw from, though. God asked the Israelites to trust Him on numerous occasions, and always came through for them. Today, we can trust God to do exactly what He's promised!

Are you set apart from this world you live in? Today Pastor Daniel will share how important it is to be different from others, sanctified and made holy. As sons and daughters of God, we need to reveal to others just how incredible it is to be part of His family! We need to love when hate is in charge. We need to stand for truth in the face of lies. And we need to seek the lost in this world! All of this makes us different, but also reveals Jesus!

Pastor Daniel will ask us today to examine our attitudes toward the things of God. Is what we value and how we feel about it mirroring that of our Creator's? And do we really believe that He'll do all He's said? Our attitude needs to line up with our Heavenly Father's as we move forward in our walk with Him! We'll learn today from the story of Rahab, who knew what God could do, and was still ready to side with Him no matter what!

In today's message Pastor Daniel will introduce us to an unusual soldier in God's army – a woman named Rahab. Rahab didn't fight in a battle, nor was she an Israelite, but her bravery and cunning saved two men and earned her and her family life. She had a sinful past, yet God allowed her to find a place in the lineage of the only sinless man to come to earth – Jesus! If God could use Rahab in a powerful way, couldn't He use you too?

Today's message will be a powerful encouragement – be strong and courageous! This phrase that Pastor Daniel will share from the book of Joshua is something we need to apply to our lives. It's likely God has a task for you that's going to stretch you way out of your comfort zone. Maybe He's already given you a hint to what it actually is! In any case, don't go into the task with fear and trembling. Instead, repeat this phrase: be strong and courageous!

It's true that we're called to serve God and serve other people. That's part of what being a Christian looks like. In today's message, though, Pastor Daniel will tell us of another name given to those of us who choose to give our lives to Jesus – friend! God wants an intimate relationship with each one of us, and because Jesus took away our sins by His death on the cross, we get to have that! We're still servants, but now also friends!

As we step into roles of service for Jesus, we need to be careful where the glory is going. People may notice what we're doing and may praise us for our work, but Pastor Daniel warns us in today's message not to keep the credit! We're only able to serve Jesus because of what He's done in our lives! Jesus knows that if we start to do things under our power, we'll fail. Only with His help and grace will we make an impact, so we need to praise Him always!

Jesus is always about healing and restoring! That's the whole message of the Gospel – taking what's broken and offering hope and new life. In today's message, Pastor Daniel will share that we're supposed to be part of this effort! Jesus changed our lives, and now we need to do the same for the world! Instead of looking for the faults and failures of people, we should be instilling truth in love as we share the good news of Jesus!

Discouragement comes easily when we read the newspaper or hear the stories of tragedy. It's easy to let the pain and trials of the world get us down! Pastor Daniel will tell us today, though, that these things aren't what God intended for the world! We may grieve the evil we experience, but we need to also allow the hope of the Gospel to fill us with joy in the midst of it! We know Jesus is coming back to redeem the world, and we'll join Him for eternity!

This world is only temporary, and there is a life beyond it. That life is being revealed through us, though, right now! In today's message, Pastor Daniel will explore what it means to be a preview for the coming reality when Jesus returns and establishes His Kingdom. If you're a follower of Jesus, you're His witness to the world! You're revealing to those around you who Jesus is and what eternal life with Him is all about!
