Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

As with many passages we study in God's Word, the book of Deuteronomy points us to the life Jesus lived here on earth, and the freedom and refuge He offers us when we accept His gift of grace. Pastor Daniel today reminds us to keep the bigger picture in mind whenever life starts to pull us down. Even when we don't know what's coming next, Jesus is there to provide comfort and support, and direct us to the greatest conclusion we could imagine!

When you love someone, you do all you can to please them! Pastor Daniel tells us in today's message that this is the same for our relationship with God. If we love Him with all we are, following His commandments won't be a difficult thing. We'll want to serve Him, learn all we can about Him, and do all we can to be part of His Kingdom plan. After all, God loved us so much that He sent His Son to die in our place, setting us free from sin!

The spiritual realm is alive and moving constantly all around us. Both good and evil forces are vying for our attention, and we need to be aware of their presence! In today's message, Pastor Daniel warns us of the dangers of taking part in activities that do not honor Jesus. They may seem harmless at the outset, but they can quickly pull us away from our Creator and set us down a path that will only lead to destruction and chaos!

Sadly, many people aren't exposed to the saving grace of Jesus as soon as they come into the world. It may take years before they hear of Jesus, let alone give their life over to Him! Pastor Daniel shares today that they have equal right to God's inheritance as those who have been Christians for much longer! It doesn't matter when someone takes hold of the love and mercy of Jesus – the timing is perfect, because it's just as God planned!

We're part of something so much bigger than we can comprehend! While we may think our individual lives, problems, and successes are huge, they pale in comparison to what's going on in all the world, let alone in the Kingdom of God! However, we do have a part to play in God's Kingdom advancing! We can have an impact on other people in this world, and Pastor Daniel's message today reminds us of this!

Today's message focuses on a feast the Israelites were to celebrate each year – the Feast of First Fruits. This feast was a reminder to them that God was in control. He knew before they even planted their first seed how large the crop would be, and the Israelites couldn't change anything! Pastor Daniel reminds us as well that we're dependent on God! We don't know what will happen at any point, and the best way is always to depend on our Creator!

Every time we come to a place of worshipping our Savior, we're reminded of why we're there. Through today's message, Pastor Daniel shares the importance of remembering why we needed to be saved from sin. We've been rescued from death, the punishment our sins deserve, by a Savior who had no sinful way in Him! He was perfect, yet He took on our sins to die in our place! When we let that reality humble us, our worship will grow!

Any time a leader must make a judgement, we expect that they will be impartial and give a fair opinion. This isn't always an accurate assessment, but much of the time, we do see this played out throughout the world. God calls us to follow this same principle any time we're called upon to lead. Pastor Daniel encourages us to learn these blueprints for leadership and judgement, and seek God's guidance for all of it!

Before Jesus came to the earth, the people who desired to follow God had a long list of rules and regulations to follow. This was the covenant between God and His people – that they would follow His laws in order to be forgiven their sins. As we still discover today, this is impossible! Pastor Daniel tells us in today's message that this is why Jesus came – to fulfill the covenant, once and for all taking our punishment and setting us free!

Today Pastor Daniel introduces us to the Biblical view of servants and slaves. This differs from what we have been taught of slavery from history – it was instead a kinder way to pay a debt. In fact, some who had paid their debt chose to stay as bond servants to their masters as a sign of loyalty and gratitude. As followers of Jesus, we've been forgiven a debt that demanded our lives, and so are given the chance to be eternally bonded to our Savior!
