Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

Selfishness is something that can be seen around the world. Ad agencies pander to self promotion, and people want to know what the world can give them. As Pastor Daniel observes, we each think we're the center of the solar system! Jesus has a different perspective though, and today we'll discover how He can change ours too! Jesus calls us to love Him first, and then serve others, looking instead for ways that we can give to the world!

There's a need in all of us for spiritual connection. Many people try to turn to worldly sources to fulfill it, and may be satisfied for a time, but will eventually find that longing reawakened in their soul. Today, Pastor Daniel gives us the answer to where we can find lasting, completely filling spiritual connection – through prayer! When we spend time regularly in communication with God, we'll see how our prayer life can impact our daily life as well!

Sometimes we don't see the results of our prayers right away. We think if we go before God and ask once, He'll provide exactly what we asked for exactly how and when we want it! God doesn't work this way, though! Pastor Daniel explains today that God does want to give good things to us, His kids! But He wants the BEST things for us, and He knows when it will benefit us the most. Until His timing is revealed, we need to keep seeking Him!

We need relationships in our lives. From the moment we're born, we crave connection with others, and in fact fail to thrive if that need isn't met! Today Pastor Daniel will demonstrate how living relationally is vital to our growth Spiritually as well. We need other believers to support us in our faith journey, and in our physical needs as well. We in turn provide support and strength for others, creating a church body that does community well!

Life is busy! For many of us, sitting quietly is not even an option in our daily routines! However, Pastor Daniel today shares just how beneficial taking this time of stillness is to our relationship with our Creator! God speaks to us softly, in the quiet spaces where we are listening for Him. He wants us to rest in Him, and allow Him to comfort us and renew our strength. God alone can provide the perfectly peaceful restoration our souls long for!

Pastor Daniel tells us in today's message that everyone has a vertical relationship with something. People on the earth worship some kind of god, whether it's the true and living God or something they focus on instead. As we study the Bible, we realize that those whose god isn't the God of Scripture are a bit threatened by what it says! Jesus tells us plainly that there is one God, and He deserves all of our love, and all of our attention!

We tend to want to make ourselves look good in front of others. We put on an air that says we have it all together, and we know everything we need to know! Pastor Daniel today introduces a new series examining the art of living, and in it we learn that there's a certain amount of vulnerability that needs to take place. We don't know everything, but the more questions we ask along the way, the more we'll learn what God has in store for our lives!

As we've already seen in Pastor Daniel's study through Numbers, rebellion definitely has an effect on the timetable God has set up! Today, we're reminded again how lack of obedience changes our involvement in God's Kingdom! If we aren't willing to follow God's task for us, whatever and whenever it comes, we're missing out on sharing Him with others, and missing the blessings that result from that! Now is a great time to change that!

God functions on a very different time table than we do! We want things to happen right now, when we want it done! God sees the big picture though, and Pastor Daniel asks us to remember that today as we study the final days of Israel's wilderness wandering. Israel would have much rather done things in their timing, but as we can still learn today, God brings events around when it will benefit everyone, not just us! If we can exercise patience, we'll see God moving in incredible ways all around us!

Though not widely publicized, miracles do still happen today! Even small moments where only God could have made a change can bolster our faith and leave us praising Him! However, Pastor Daniel reminds us in today's message that those miracles, though incredible, are not meant to sustain our faith. We need to spend time in the Bible, and in communication with God, to really have a firm grasp on His love and mercy, and plan for our lives!
