Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

The idea of giving a tithe, or a portion of our money, is to remind us that God has given us all we have. It also reminds us, as Pastor Daniel shares in today's message, that we are to trust God with every aspect of our lives, finances included! God knows exactly what we need to survive, and will always make a way when we lay aside our agendas and lean on Him. Tithing with open hearts allows God to do incredible things in our lives!

God has a distinct plan for each individual, one that will bless others and share His Kingdom with the world. However, He has also given us great leaders to look up to, learn from, and be mentored by. Pastor Daniel today reminds us that we need each other to grow spiritually, and that we also need the power of the Holy Spirit filling us up and guiding our steps! Both of these, when put together, will produce effective people of faith!

Our time on this earth is fleeting, if you really think about it. We may be given a long life by the world's standards, but when compared to eternity, it's just a moment! Pastor Daniel today encourages us to turn our focus on where we will be spending eternity. If we accept Jesus free gift of Salvation, we will be with Him when we die, living the glorious life God intended. We then need to strive to make the fleeting moments here on earth count!

There's no way we can see our lives the way God does. He sees our future, our past, and our present, and knows exactly who we will become! Pastor Daniel reminds us today to not be discouraged by our failures, or our lack of resources. God can, and does, use everyone in His Kingdom plan, and He'll provide all we need to do the tasks He has for us! We should default to God's view of our lives, setting aside our own limited versions!

The Bible definitely isn't made up of stories of perfect people and only good events and outcomes. In fact, as Pastor Daniel reminds us today, there's several places in the Bible where people messed up, where evil took its toll, and where terrible things happened! Through it all though, God was in control, and He continually uses those who aren't perfect to advance His Kingdom. God does this today, too, and can use each of us in His plan!

As we will discover in today's message, our lives will have an impact on future generations. How we follow Jesus right now not only impacts people we interact with now, but it will be seen and recognized by those who come after us! So what kind of legacy do we want to have? Pastor Daniel encourages us to ask God to lead our path, drawing us closer to Himself as we seek to do His will, so that those who come after will want to do likewise!

Every person has a talent of some kind. We, however, did not pick our talents, nor did we create them! In today's message, Pastor Daniel points us to a passage of Scripture that reminds us of where our abilities come from! God has manufactured each individual with the capabilities necessary to do the job He has also created for them. We, in turn, are not to sit on our talents, but rather use them to glorify God and draw people to Him!

The world tells us that what we have is ours, that we own things, time, and talents. According to the Bible, however, this just isn't true! Pastor Daniel today reminds us that all we have has been given to us by God to take care of for Him. Everything, and everyone, belongs to Him, and He gives and takes away as He sees necessary. If we begin to view our lives as being caretakers of God's items, we will begin to see them in new and God-honoring light!

When we feel the sting of judgment from someone else, it's easy to justify retaliation. We tend to want to treat them the way we were treated! Pastor Daniel today reminds us that this isn't the way of a Jesus follower! When we are mistreated, we are told to do the opposite! We should love first, showering them with kindness and generosity, treating them with grace. Jesus did this for us, and as we do this for others, we will reveal Jesus to them!

Pastor Daniel approaches a difficult but necessary topic in today's message. Judgment is seen everywhere, and it's sadly one of many people's first responses to any situation. Pastor Daniel warns us that by passing judgment on someone, we are putting ourselves in the place of God. We are in essence claiming that we have the right to set standards! God has already made a standard, and without Jesus, none of us would measure up!
