It doesn't matter what sin we commit, it is still sin and it still separates us from God! Not only does Jesus give us plenty of information about what marriage should be, He also gives us a deeper message about what our relationship with Him should look like. Jesus is always faithful to His church...His bride...and we too are called to be faithful to Him. We are part of a covenant that will not be broken, and one day Jesus will return for His bride!

The world has a set of standards that they claim are important. Certain achievements are regarded as successful in the eyes of the public, and many strive to build their lives on those things. These things aren’t lasting, though, and will never fulfill our hearts desire! Pastor Daniel today encourages us to instead build our lives on the rock of Jesus. His path for our lives may not match the world’s standards, but it will reap eternal blessings!

Jesus gives us two options in today’s message. On one hand, we can choose the wide gate, which comes with an easy road that the world approves of. In the end, it won’t satisfy, and may lead to destruction. Pastor Daniel encourages us to choose the other gate – the narrow one that is Jesus! This path won’t be easy, but we will have Jesus walking along side us, and in the end we will find abundant blessings and rewards for our choice!

Pastor Daniel today acknowledges how common worry is in everyday life, but he also reminds us that Jesus has provided an alternative! Instead of allowing concerns to shape our day, we can turn to Jesus! He has promised to provide everything we need, and He always keeps His promises! No matter what may happen in our lives today, we can know that Jesus is in control! Trusting Him will free us from a life of worrying!

Who is the master over your life? Is it worldly success and wealth? Or is it God? Pastor Daniel asks us these questions today, leaving us with much to think about! If we are striving to be as successful as possible in our time here on earth, we will find that it consumes our lives! Instead, if we allow God to work through us and guide our path, we will see His love unfolding in the lives of others, and worldly achievement will cease to matter!

The things we do here on earth reveal where we are storing our treasure. If we are focusing on great worldly achievement, our treasure is being stored here on earth, where anything can destroy it at a moment’s notice! Instead, Pastor Daniel suggests today that we focus on God’s agenda for us on earth. As we serve Him and seek to share His love with everyone around us, we will find our treasure being built up eternally in Heaven!

Jesus demonstrated throughout His life a new and radical way of dealing with adversity. His generosity and love created change wherever He went! His ultimate gift of love was to die on a cross for every person’s sins, freeing us to live as He did! Pastor Daniel today encourages us to let Jesus love fill us up and influence how we too deal with the difficulties in life. The more of Jesus we take in, the more His love will shine out to others!
