The role of a priest is to mediate the presence of God. This applies to both the ministerial and royal priesthood, to which we are all called through our baptism. We are called to share the presence of God through the way we live our lives. However, due to our human weaknesses, we often fall. But this does not mean that our weaknesses are to be despised. On the contrary, they can help us understand and empathise with our fellow brothers and sisters.

Jesus shows us God’s original design for humanity. To be truly human is to be faithful to one's identity, calling, and purpose in life—one who always says, “Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will,” and leads an integrated life. We are all called to be like Jesus—pure and holy—and to minister God’s presence through our words and deeds.
