Now, everyone has weighed their opinions on why the joke was inappropriate, and why the action was justifiable; however, our hosts decided to examine this from a GOD and therapeutic perspective with the help of an article written by Roy S. Johnson and the feedback from a licensed professional counselor (our community partner for the week) and our in house therapist colleague Herbert Wilkerson. There is a relationship in the bible that changed how we see marriage. It involved a husband, wife, and their handmaid. This relationship was the first biblical threesome that was produced due to a lack of faith and trust in the promise of GOD. Not only did it produce a child, but it produce a legacy of betrayal and doubt. The relationship of Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar was the first time we saw three people in the same relationship, trying to make something happen that was to get to the promise of GOD quicker. Join our hosts as they discuss this biblical threesome and how they navigated through the threesomes they created, trying to help GOD. In Mark 12:31 Jesus talked about the second commandment which is 'Love others as much as you love yourself.' No other commandment is more important than these." Yet, we have people struggling to love themselves; however, giving their ALL to others. How is the possible sway?!? LOL! Listen, to our hosts as they discuss this concept of loving others, without loving your first and the struggles it creates in the long term.
