JFRocks Music Publishing episodes
- Bog Fruit"Bog Fruit" was produced by request for a TV pilot project here in LA. This track is a sideways Rock groove piece along the lines of classic Led Zeppelin and Hendrix. With a pinch of Progressive Rock timing thrown in for good measure and its super-wide stereo mix this is one is worth cranking some serious volume on."Bog Fruit" is built on a rock solid guitar hook that transitions into a Jazzy diminished and suspended chord driven sideways-groove bridge. As with all my tracks this song is cut down the middle with a solid guitar lead, in this case a totally improvised lead with an early Jimmy Page guitar tone utilizing the classic sound of the Les Paul.Enjoy... and as always CRANK IT UP!!!!!! I suggest Way up for this one to really get the feel for the wide stereo mix."Bog Fruit"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - visit, http://JFRocksProd.comPerformed byJeff Fiorentino - All GuitarsJeff Fiorentino - BassJeff Fiorentino - DrumsEngineered by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP), & Mick SimmsCopyright © 2016 JFRocks Music Publishing - Hollywood, CA - Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.__________________________________________________________________________As always if you like this track please share it with your friends on your social media. - I Like Like You"I like like you", is my first official release of 2016. This is a Hard Rockin' monster of a track built on a solid really catchy guitar hook, with a wide stereo Flanger and Chorus applied. Cut down the middle with a semi-melodic, slick Rick guitar solo, this one is worth blowing those speakers you got for Christmas on for sure..The song's title FYI comes from a song done on an episode of the #BBC show, "Uncle". I took their basic techno-groove and riffed it out. Obviously I changed the melody for copyright reasons, but you can still sing the title right alone with the song's main theme guitar riff no problem.. Their song doesn't rock like this, but I always try to pull inspiration where i can.. sometimes a title idea is all it takes.Enjoy... and as always CRANK IT UP!!!!"I like like you"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - visit, http://JFRocksProd.comPerformed byJeff Fiorentino - All GuitarsJeff Fiorentino - BassJeff Fiorentino - DrumsEngineered by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP)Copyright © 2016 JFRocks Music Publishing - Hollywood, CA - Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.__________________________________________________________________________As always if you like this track please share it with your friends on your social media. - Fat Alice"Fat Alice" is my and JFRocks.com's kick-off track for 2016. Each year the song title we kick-off with is basically our pet-name for the year. Last year in 2015 the kick-off track was called "SoundClowned". And it indeed marked a year of a lot of music written and released. I personally produced over 110 songs in 2015, most of which made it here to SoundCloud for you all to enjoy, and all of them were licensed to either filmmakers, or for use on TV around the world. So the inside back-story being said, 2016's kick-off track and pet-name is "Fat Alice"."Fat Alice" as a track is built on a solid Hard Rock guitar hook, and what I call a "dead drop" bridge, meaning it takes the groove down a bit.. Cut down the middle with a killer guitar solo, I think this one is well worth not only blowing some speakers over, but a damn fine way to launch us all into 2016..All of the above said, enjoy.... and as always CRANK IT UP!!!! And happy new year to all of you.. I appreciate your support via your plays, comments, download purchases etc.. You guys ROCK!!! So cheers... !!"Fat Alice"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - visit, http://JFRocksProd.comPerformed byJeff Fiorentino - All GuitarsMick Simms - BassJeff Fiorentino - DrumsEngineered by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP), & Mick SimmsCopyright © 2016 JFRocks Music Publishing - Hollywood, CA - Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.__________________________________________________________________________As always if you like this track please share it with your friends on your social media. - Chubby"Chubby" is a hard rock guitar instrumental made up of a couple hook riffs I had laying around from earlier in the year that never got used. Sometimes I review old demos and find stuff that I glazed over that sounds really cool, or has potential. That said, this song's main guitar hook was one of those riffs."Chubby", named for its FAT guitar tone and warm guitar solo changes modes a couple times to give it some vibe. For the most part this song is in A minor, but there is some Harmonic minor thrown in during the bridge and the solo reaks of Phrygian mode. That said, as with most of my tracks, I try to take you on a journey with them, rather than just write simple songs that lay flat and don't change-up much. While I try to keep the elements of my songs commercial, as I license them to TV and filmmakers, I also think you can play with modes and change grooves within the commercial sphere and still manage to keep the song viable for general public consumption..We're getting close to the end of 2015 here, and it's been a great year for me both in the music industry and here on SoundCloud. I have over 300 songs here in the cloud, and I hope you guys will check out the "2013 to Present" set that I created and enjoy them all. That set can be found from my main SoundCloud page or you can go there directly at https://soundcloud.com/jeff-fiorentino-jfrocks/sets/jeff-fiorentinos-latest-1Enjoy "Chubby", and as always CRANK IT UP!!! And let's get geared up for 2016, which should be an even better year musically for me, and hopefully for all of you as well.."Chubby"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - visit, http://JFRocksProd.comPerformed byJeff Fiorentino - All GuitarsJeff Fiorentino - BassJeff Fiorentino - DrumsEngineered by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP), & Mick SimmsCopyright © 2015 JFRocks Music Publishing - Hollywood, CA - Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.__________________________________________________________________________As always if you like this track please share it with your friends on your social media. - Cardboard Rhino"Cardboard Rhino" is guitar riff/hook based guitar instrumental with some Led Zeppelin flair and a pinch of shred thrown in for good measure. This track's title comes from a more severe version of the old saying, "paper tiger", and is also a drink a good friend of mine created and serves to unwitting customers at his establishment here in Los Angeles. All that said, this one with its wide stereo mix, and Zepp'ish feel and vibe is another one worth blowing some speakers over for sure.. So.... CRANK IT UP!!"Cardboard Rhino"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - visit, http://JFRocksProd.comPerformed byJeff Fiorentino - All GuitarsJeff Fiorentino - BassJeff Fiorentino - DrumsEngineered by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP)Copyright © 2015 JFRocks Music Publishing - Hollywood, CA - Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.__________________________________________________________________________As always if you like this track please share it with your friends on your social media. - Rapping Paper"Rapping Paper", is has as its name would suggest a little Hip-Hop "rap" kind of feel and groove going on with it. This track is #funky to say the least, but more than that and what's probably important to my http://JFRocks.com following is that it ROCKS!! #HipHop and #Rap feels aside, this track has some serious Hard Rock guitar riffing going on. Cut down the middle with a rippin' Wah infused Shred guitar solo, this is another one worth blowing some speakers over, that I'm sure will rock your holiday parties out there..Enjoy.. and as always.... CRANK IT UP!!! This is especially true with this monster rocker for sure!!"Rapping Paper"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - Pushing Dung"Pushing Dung", was produced for TV and Film licensing, but also just for some end of year fun with the Van Halen guitar style. This track jumps along at 140 bpm, with its hopping main guitar hook, followed by a modal change-up for the bridge with a little bit of a straight up rock down-beat to it. Cut down the middle with an MXR Stereo Chorus fueled guitar solo, this one should keep your holiday parties in check for sure..Enjoy... and as always, CRANK IT UP!! Waaay up for this one, and be sure to also download the mp3 if you dig the track.. While I do like the SoundCloud player, I've always found that my stuff sounds much better in mp3 format, mostly because you can EQ it better for your speaker system or iPod or whatever..."Pushing Dung"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - Damned if I do"Damned if I do" is a serious rocker to nearly bring 2015 to a close. This track has blend of things going on, not the least of which is the "Grunge" style mix technique we've applied to it. This track while having some very cool head-banging elements to it also has a bit of that grungy edge due to its mix and general guitar sound. Particularly the guitar sound of guitar 2 which is in your right speaker (assuming they're not plugged in backward of course)..This track's main theme riff is a real head-banger, while its bridge part drifts into a more Satriani'esque viruoso Rock sort of theme. The song's solo is a tricky little devil, but it's about as pure an example of my own personal rock style as you'll get, which is sort of a blending of Vito Bratta from White Lion with a little Jimmy Page and a pinch of EVH thrown in for good measure..Enjoy the track, and as always CRANK IT UP!!! There is no such thing as too loud for this track.."Damned if I do"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - Kanan Dume Hop"Kanan Dume Hop", is a term we have in my circle for getting from the Canyon to the Beach. It's a twisting turning road that's a blast in a sports car or on a bike, when they're not tearing up the road to rebuild it.This track is as its title would suggest, "a hop". The main theme riff jumps, followed by a side-ways grooving bridge, and a searing guitar solo down the middle of it all.As always, CRANK IT UP!!! and take a cruise through the canyon on this song's wide stereo mix.Enjoy.."Kanan Dume Hop"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - Ladies in Celluloid"Ladies in Celluloid" - (a.k.a. "Women in Film"), is a guitar instrumental mix of melodic and heavy down-beat rock. This track was produced for a local filmmaker here in Los Angeles for what she calls an epic drama set in stone. Don't ask me what that means, I just compose, I let the filmmakers do what they do.This track is built on two solid guitar hooks with some pretty cool mixing of Flanger and Chorusing going on. The rhythm riffs and hooks actually evolve as the song progresses, which is something I always like to do, especially for film work. The guitar solo which appears at about half way through the song is actually a late era Van Halen style chorused guitar tone with a wide stereo mix. I used my Kramer to take advantage of the Floyd Rose trem for it, but the main rhythms of the song were done on my Les Paul..This one is definitely worth blowing some speakers over, and I suggest cranking it up to take advantage of the wide and varying stereo mixes going on here.Enjoy...."Ladies in Celluloid"Written and Arranged by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP) http://JFRocks.comTo Download this Song in mp3 format - visit, http://JFRocksMusic.comTo License this Song, for Film, TV, Radio etc. - visit, http://JFRocksProd.comPerformed byJeff Fiorentino - All GuitarsMick Simms - BassJeff Fiorentino - DrumsEngineered by - Jeff Fiorentino (ASCAP), & Mick SimmsCopyright © 2015 JFRocks Music Publishing - Hollywood, CA - Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.__________________________________________________________________________As always if you like this track please share it with your friends on your social media.
