J.J. Abrams Sci-Fi Film The Great Beyond

J.J. Abrams took the stage at CinemaCon to tease the very first footage of his mysterious new sci-fi epic, The Great Beyond, releasing on November 13. Described as a love story with genre-bending elements, the film stars Jenna Ortega, Glen Powell, and Samuel L. Jackson. While the footage kept plot details vague, it featured an H.G. Wells quote about "another world out of sight," a voiceover from Ortega searching for something pure they can't find here, flashes of light, the ground opening up, and Powell on the run, signaling Abrams' highly anticipated return to telling original stories.
